Lil Wayne just made a huge business deal. The Hip-hop icon recently made headlines when it was reported that he sold his masters to Universal Music Group (UMG) for $100 millon back in June. However, it is now revealed that the top-secret deal also included some of Nicki Minaj and Drake’s music too, per MEAWW. According to Music Business Worldwide, Lil Wayne, who helped launch Drake and Nicki Minaj’s careers through his label Cash Money Records, allegedly sold the entire catalogue, including the work of Drake, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj. The news comes after the 38-year-old rapper was recently sued by his former manager, Ronald Sweeney and Avant Garde Management for more than $20 million over unpaid commissions, reports TMZ. “Plaintiffs are informed and believe… that, subsequent to (Sweeney’s) termination (as Wayne’s manager), specifically in or about June of 2020, Lil Wayne was able to sell the Young Money Masters to Universal Music Group for an excess of $100 million,” the suit read, according to Music Business Worldwide.

Ultimately, the Quest 2 doesn’t feel like a huge leap forward. It’s more like a bunch tiny steps forward in some areas, with a few tiny steps back in others. But it’s still one of the best VR headsets you can buy today, for all the same reasons the original Quest broke the mold – and at $100 cheaper to boot. Getting into VR and playing is a seamless, near-instantaneous affair, and the wireless freedom is absolutely priceless, especially when playing free-roaming games like Big Box VR’s upcoming Population: One battle royale (which I got a chance to demo during my review period). Diehard users may still prefer the top-tier hardware in the Valve Index, and it’s not a big enough leap to warrant selling your original Quest, but for just about everyone else entering the VR space, the Quest 2 is the headset I’d recommend. The Oculus Quest 2 is available for pre-order now with an MSRP of $299 for the 64GB model and $399 for 256GB of storage. Both will be available for purchase on October 13, 2020. The Quest 2 improves over its predecessor in a lot of little ways, with a few small drawbacks like the enlarged controllers and cheaper strap. But its wireless nature, ease of use, and accessible price still make it a killer VR headset.

He officially announced Whole Lotta Red's release date with an album cover and preorder link via Twitter and Instagram on Dec. 22. On the new 24-track album, Carti continues with his signature unearthly sound. He opts out of being a traditional lyricist and instead acts a conductor of fun. His bars bounce among synthy, fractured beats from various producers like Pi'erre Bourne, Art Dealer, F1lthy, the end result showcasing how comfortable he is toeing the line between riveting and repetitive. Carti takes on an aggressive edge as he turns away from his usual baby-like cadence on tracks like "M3tamorphosis" featuring Kid Cudi. The Atlanta rapper has remained elusive since the 2018 release of his debut studio album, Die Lit. He had two guest verses this year, making an appearance on Drake's "Pain 1993" and Lil Yachty's "Flex Up," and only a handful, including Solange's "Almeda" and Tyler, the Creator's "EARFQUAKE," in 2019. Carti's been working on (and building anticipation for) Whole Lotta Red since mid-2018, just after Die Lit. His fast-track to stardom began with the breakout 2017 self-titled mixtape, featuring hits like "Magnolia" and "wokeuplikethis*," and continues with Whole Lotta Red standout tracks like "Go2DaMoon" featuring Kanye West and "ILoveUIHateU."

Just hours after announcing the project, Lil Durk has dropped his new record The Voice, which features a collab with the late King Von. Coming at the tail end of a year that has been all over the place for the Chicago rapper, The Voice sees Durk celebrate his success while reflecting on the friends he's lost, with Von among them. Von, who was signed to Durk's label, died in November when he was shot outside of an Atlanta nightclub, and Durk has been paying tribute to him ever since. The release features appearances from the likes of Young Thug, YNW Melly, and Booka 600. The new release, which also features a photo of Durk with Von on the cover, follows the drop of his single "Backdoor." Prior to the release of The Voice, which he only announced on Wednesday, Durk also linked-up with Drake for the Certified Lover Boy single "Laugh Now Cry Later." He also dropped his fifth studio album, Just Cause Y'all Waited 2, back in May, collaborating with the likes of Lil Baby, Gunna, and G Herbo among others.
