notyourbasicmurder's podcast

It's the Q&A!!! A non-murderous episode where I answer your questions. Sit back and grab a white claw cause it's about to get real!

BTW this episode was recorded twice. The original episode was recorded with Kelsey but it was unfortunately deleted.

NYBM is blessed with another amazing special guest! This week my dear friend Kelsey Green and I discuss some crazy murders within the state of Ohio. First, we discuss the complicated Piketon Family Murders. The Pike County shootings took place on the night of April 21, 2016, when eight people (all belonging to the Rhoden family) were shot and killed in four homes in Piketon Ohio. Next, we travel a few hours north to Mount Vernon. Matthew J. Hoffman is a murderous, ephebophilic statutory rapist, one-time abductor, robber, and arsonist responsible for a triple homicide and the abduction and rape of a thirteen-year-old girl in November 2010.

ATTENTION: Caitlin and Kelsey were given Tequila before this episode so proceed with caution.

Insert pig noises here..... In this week's episode, I discuss the Canadian serial killer who was convicted in 2007 of the second-degree murders of six women. Robert William "Willy" Pickton  (aka The Pig Farmer Killer) murdered up to 50 sex works in the late 1990s. In this week's Caitlin's Crime Talk, I discuss a story of a teen who threatened her grandparents with a knife after they told her she couldn't have any more tomatoes.

Basic bitches unite as I discuss the horrific crimes caused by the Ken and Barbie Killers. Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo were the ultimate killer couple. The married serial killer couple worked together to lure, torture, rape, and murder adolescent girls. They videotaped their sadistic sessions, which eventually played no part in their convictions. Join in as a ragingly discuss the horrifying crimes from this not so perfect couple.

Happy Friday the 13th coven. Join me as I discuss the history of Friday the 13th and the brutal murderer David McGreavy. David brutally murdered the Ralph children on Friday, April 13th, 1973.

Welcome to episode 16! In this episode, I introduce Caitlin's Crime Talk. A segment where I talk about things happening in the true crime world this week. Then we'll dive into the murder of Emma Walker, a 16-year-old cheerleader who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend.

In this episode, I discuss the murder of Kathleen Peterson and the mystery behind her death. This case is filled with many different theories including that an owl could've killed her. I also fill you in on my love for LivePD and starting #notyourbasicmuderloveslivepd. Enjoy another tangent, murderous, & head-scratching episode with your basic bitch of a host!

Not your basic murder goes out of this world with my first special guest. In this tangent filled episode, I ask my alien obsessed sister different questions on her love for aliens. While drinking white claws, we talk about the different types of aliens, UFO sightings, and encounters. So make yourself a tin foil hat and join us on a two-hour journey of alien nonsense.

Welcome to another episode of Caitlin's tangents. I discuss my first negative review, along with a few of my drunk nights. When it comes to murder, I discuss the murder of the Gustafson family. The oh so lovely, Daniel LaPlante is an American killer convicted of the triple-murderer of Priscilla Gustafson and her two children in Townsend, Massachusetts. Sit back and enjoy another tangent filled, murderous episode with your basic bitch of a host.

In this episode, I go over our first cold case. The murder of Rebecca Moore Moses. Rebecca was murdered by her Husband Ramirez Garcia in 1997. I also cover the gruesome murder of Tim McClean aka the Greyhound Bus Murder.
