Welcome back to episode 39 with Dr David Haunschmidt. David is an emergency medicine consultant from windy Wellington but originally from Scotland. David is also a running coach with 'Trail Athlete' and also a very competitive runner himself reaching the podium in over 40 events in the last few years, with the majority of these being 1st placings and some being course records, such as the Tarawera 50km in February this year. We discuss what life is like as an emergency doctor including shift work, what brought him to NZ, his running journey, his approach to coaching and health and much more.
