Balanced - Uses clear common language while maintaining a degree of word-for-word accuracy

NIV – New International Version
Balanced Word for word and thought for thought - Aims for both accuracy and readability in modern English

NLT – New Living Translation
Thought for thought - Focuses on clarity, readability and simplifying complex terms for contemporary understanding

MSG – The Message
Paraphrase - Text provided in a highly contemporary, non-literal style to contextualize it for a modern audience
