After Niagara Falls, Ontario, Mayor Jim Diodati told us yesterday his city hasn't yet completely resolved the influx of migrants during Covid and that Ottawa never engaged with his administration, but instead booked hotel rooms directly, on a national level, Should we expect a significant inflow of migrants from the United States seeking to escape expulsion from the U.S. by the Donald Trump administration? - How might the expulsion of up to 11 million people from the U.S. proceed logistically and in the courts? - If migrants expelled from the U.S. were to arrive in Canada how does Canadian law engage under the Safe Third Countries Act? - And setting aside any migration from the U.S. to Canada, Canadians are already telling Ottawa immigration numbers are too high with the Trudeau Liberals reducing the numbers of allowed immigrants.
