We're getting into the thick of it this episode and taking an unusual turn to talk about...serial killers! Don't worry, we're still talking books, just serial killers and their books. Get ready for a thriller of an episode as we talk about actual real-life murder mysteries, and hopefully we'll satisfy that strange fascination we all sometimes get with killers. Don't pretend you don't have it, we all do.

Welcome to high school. Terrifying, right? Not in today's episode. We're talking about the "Jenny Han sphere" with Taylor Stentzel and all the boys that make up the iconic high school tropes. We're also discussing a ton of Sarah Dessen and John Green and all the awkward high school realities that really made it so that these books are really just truly fiction ;) Let us know your thoughts! For the past several months, we have been waiting not so patiently for the release of Namesake. And by some form of magic, Adrienne Young heard our Fable recap and, incredible human that she is, said she'd come onto our episode and join us in a spoiler-FILLED episode of Namesake! This is where we dive in and reflect on powerful moments throughout Fable and Namesake, with discussions on the characters in this world, their complicated relationships, and the amazing process that Adrienne uses to write! We tried very, very hard to not lose our chill completely during this episode, because Adrienne is such a nice and wonderful person who also has a brain that is INCREDIBLE. And look- we fangirled in this description. We are totally cool about it. Totally cool.

In this episode, we interview Alison Goodman, bestselling author of the Lady Helen trilogy! The books are called The Dark Days Club, The Dark Days Pact, and The Dark Days Deceit. They are an incredible mix of historical fiction, slow (SLOW) burn romance, and some hard-core fantasy. If you haven't read this series yet, we couldn't recommend it enough. The first part is Spoiler-free, so you can listen to this author talk about her writing process, and then we let you know ahead of time for our spoiler section! Don't forget to check out the first book's recap episode!
You guys already know the books we've been raving about for months, but this time we dove DEEP into our bookshelves to find ones we haven't talked about as much on the podcast! Here are some books that we LOVED reading and will be screaming about for a solid 45 minutes. We also discuss how this podcast started and the STRUGGLE of female friendships and what a joy it is when you find someone you can trust!

A couple weeks ago, Anna and I took the plunge into the ACOTAR world, and the second book was ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. We discuss all of our reactions and excitement for the series and laugh so much with our friend Katie! :)
Today we're covering a PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER and it's a beautiful, wild ride. We get to talk to the author (whose book releases TODAY!) about her book and the complicated, wild characters and their motivations in the book. It's spoiler free, but we highly recommend reading the book first so you can really dive deep into the convo!
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN RECORDING THIS. We chose some of the best and worst fanfictions for Harry Potter that we could find, and had so much fun sharing the stories to each other! Share your favorite thoughts with us on IG!
