Some of those involved carried out invasive cosmetic procedures without medical training, using substances that require strict clinical control and authorization. Authorities warned that this posed serious health risks due to the lack of safety standards and medical oversight.

During coordinated raids carried out on April 8 and 9, officers searched properties in Reus, Burjassot, and Pilar de la Horadada, where the illegal clinics and storage site were located in private homes.

Additional materials seized included hialuronidase, lidocaine, thousands of syringes and needles, packaging equipment, computers, documentation, and distribution supplies.

Officials stated that improper use of substances such as botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid outside approved medical settings can cause severe infections, adverse reactions, and permanent damage.

The system enables two main motion types. Undulating movement is used for uneven terrain, while a rolling motion is more efficient on flat ground. In rolling mode, the robot reshapes into a circular form and moves by shifting its center of gravity, using gravity to reduce motor demand.

Researchers found that on level surfaces, rolling motion achieved about twice the travel speed per unit of energy compared to undulating movement.

Dr. Yamano explained that combining both motion types can extend operational time in disaster response and planetary exploration missions.

Oregon, United States – Conservation teams have released Pacific lamprey back into the wild after months of care in a coordinated restoration effort above Detroit Dam.

Zoo staff, along with Tribal and agency partners, released 23 of the ancient fish into the North Santiam River as part of a tribal-led program aimed at restoring the species in the region.

The group had spent nine months at the Oregon Zoo after arriving in June from Willamette Falls. This marked the first time a group from that population had been held in human care.

Conservation officials say analyzing both methods will help determine the most effective strategy for rebuilding lamprey populations.

While at the zoo, the lamprey underwent health monitoring, including lab testing and CT scans, with scientists studying their development prior to release.

Researchers will later use DNA analysis to compare the reproductive success of the zoo-held lamprey with those released earlier.

The Pacific lamprey is a jawless, scale-less fish that has survived ice ages and mass extinction events, but its numbers have declined over the past 75 years due to habitat loss, climate change, passage barriers, and food scarcity.

Another group of lamprey from Willamette Falls is expected at the Oregon Zoo in the coming months for a similar nine-month care and release cycle.

Mission Viejo, United States – Animal services investigators are asking for public assistance after a puppy was abandoned in Mission Viejo, California in the early hours of April 10.

At around 4:30 a.m., Mission Viejo Animal Services was alerted by a local animal urgent care facility after staff found a puppy left alone at their front entrance.

Investigators determined that at approximately 3:25 a.m., an unidentified man drove a red four-door vehicle down a hill toward the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.

He exited the vehicle, threw the puppy through a closed shelter gate, and left the animal alone in an area described as coyote country.

The man then returned to his vehicle and drove away.

Authorities have emphasized that abandoning an animal is illegal under California law. They also note that individuals unable to care for a pet are urged to contact local animal services for help, which can provide options for safe and humane surrender.

Mission Viejo Animal Services is continuing efforts to identify the suspect.
