President Donald Trump welcomed the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the White House on Friday for the signing of a peace agreement aimed at ending nearly four decades of fighting.

The president also confirmed he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon. This comes as attacks on Ukraine continue despite Trump's deadline for Russia to end the war.

In the Middle East, Israel is under criticism as it moves forward with its plans for a Gaza Strip takeover. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the goal is not to occupy Gaza, but to “free Gaza from Hamas.”
