President Donald Trump has signed into law the first major legislation regulating the crypto industry. Despite concerns over national security and consumer protection, the president says the law will strengthen assets like the dollar and help ensure U.S. dominance in the global crypto sector.

Trump is formally suing Rupert Murdoch and The Wall Street Journal for libel. He’s also responding to questions about an alleged letter to Jeffrey Epstein, as the Justice Department moves to release more related files.

A multi-agency investigation is underway after a deadly explosion at a sheriff’s training facility in East Los Angeles killed three deputies. The blast occurred around 7:30 Friday morning. One person remains hospitalized.
