President Trump welcomed New York City’s mayor-elect, self-described Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, to the White House today. This comes as the House passed a resolution condemning what it calls the “horrors” of socialism — a vote that took place shortly after Mamdani arrived at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport ahead of his afternoon meeting with the president.

President Trump has suggested Thanksgiving as the deadline for Ukraine to accept an American-brokered peace deal with Moscow. The proposed agreement would include concessions from Ukraine, including giving up territory currently occupied by Russia.
