Numb Bills Fan Podcast | Fireballs of Raw Thought on the Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are in Tennessee playing the Titans hoping to go 4-1 into their buy week. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is coming off his best performance of the season with 3 tds against the Atlanta Falcons, another note- zero interceptions all year. The Bills and Titans defenses are within a half a point per game apart allowed; the Titans defense is nothing to sneeze at. Can Josh Allen and the Bills not beat themselves, especially after a performance against the Patriots that was gift wrapped to them to win after being on the ropes. Fan favorite wide receiver Duke Williams gets called up to the roster to show what he can do- #Dukewatch.

This week Numb Bills Fan Podcast has a guest, Pat Moran from Moranalytics Podcast joins Host David Palermo. This podcast was essentially a “ramblathon” by Dave dating back to the sometimes freestyle format of pressing record and going with the conversation.  After the interview, this podcast was slept on and thought about scrapping it but theres loads of great content on life within Buffalo Media members and reflecting on our own lives- a reminder we are all humans. Next time, Pat will have the floor a lot more, felt we were getting to know each other on air as well. had a really fun time other than losing thought for a bit on Dave's end. Hope you enjoy the peak behind the curtain, and quick reflection of the Buffalo Bills current regime.

For the first time in a long time the Buffalo Bills are 3-0 let alone entering a home game. The opponent- The New England Patriots, who as well are 3-0. It can be argued the Bills and Pats have faced preseason teams in their first three opponents, but they play the schedule dealt. Will the Bills pull off a victory against the Patriots or will chess master Bill Belichick dismantle the McDermott Bills, exposing the teams weaknesses?

The Cincinatti Bengals enter New Era Field to take on the Buffalo Bills for the Billsmafia home opener. The records for both teams are inverted as the Bills are 210 and the Bengals have struggled thus far with a 0-2 winless record. Andy Dalton has quietly put up eye popping statistics with Aj Green being injured and John Ross and Tyler Boyd stepping up. As Stevie Johnson would say #handlebizhavefun- is the key to victory; and with coach McDermott, handling business is his business. This game for the Buffalo Bills should be yet another victorious checkpoint looking for 3-0 against the Patriots back again at New Era Field.

The Bills land in Jersey to play the New York Giants. Are some of Billsmafia members way too high on the team or is it warranted, especially after the Bills came out from the 2018 season dominating defensively yet again to open 2019. The special teams for the Bills also stepped up against the New York Jets, after showing a modern looking offense with Josh Allen throwing 19 straight times to open the season. The Giants seem to be a winnable game with confidence for the Bills if they stop Saquon Barkley and force Eli to win with his arm. Per @KimJonesSports Pat Shurmur said before 2018 draft, NYG thought QB Josh Allen “had a chance to be a starter” in the NFL." This was plastered across most tv screens within the Bills building according to loads of beat reporters. Point is, are the Bills brass way too worried about what people think?

Antonio Brown has been a hell storm of wildness, and in some weird way can he be admired for controlling his own destiny? Many Buffalo Bills fans were relieved to see trouble in paradise aka Oakland with the raiders and AB, but not many saw this gamesmanship on display to get to the Patriots. Ryan Jones makes another appearance on the Podcast, our resident Pittsburgh Steelers diehard fan. Is Mike Tomlin a problem, many from a far view Mike as a solid coach, but is he the problem in Pittsburgh, especially after a horrible outcome after the New England Patriots smeared them pre Antonio Brown being eligible to play for a season opener.

Tim Avery has an article up on NumbBillsFan.com Vol. 1 of this Antonio Brown saga as well!

If there was one thing host David Palermo has railed on, it’s been to shore up the offensive line by investing into it. Finally after two seasons the Buffalo Bills found a center  in Mitch Morse to fill the BIG shoes of Eric wood since his departure. Bills fans raved alike but one thing under the dust was left buried… Mitch and his large concussion history. With already three concussions before signing with the Bills and only one full 16 game season, Mitch has been placed in concussion protocol after early days of pads, had a “veteran rest day” the day prior to concussion protocol as well. Mitch will be the best investment for Josh Allen if all pans out. Lastly- LeSean McCoy has a sneakily cheap dead cap if cut. With the Bills third round pick Singletary busting out and getting plenty of opportunity at camp, it leaves the Bills many options. Can and will McCoy be Shopped?

With the offseason here, and summer tans in full effect, Bills news will be scarce; enjoy it! We are joined by one of the hardest working sports writers in the business, Ryan Talbot from NewYorkUpstate.com. Is Brandon Beane getting an unfortunate raw deal with a few injuries to new free agents; pump the brakes most everyone will be back in time for camp. Looked into the overall depth of the roster along with new coaching hires. Is there a pass catcher on the team for the defense to key in on?
