Welcome to another episode of the Business of Nursing!
In this episode, Melissa, Wendy and I discuss taking a problem that does not get much visibility, that is pelvic health!
We will also discuss a community favorite: a real life story of how a someone turned a challenging life experience into a solution by finding the RIGHT strategic partner!
ABOUT OUR GUESTS
Kathy’s firsthand knowledge about pelvic health comes from her personal experience, in seeking a solution to her own health challenges, she met up with Melissa.
Melissa is a pelvic floor physical therapist with 8 years of experience and the owner of Wellest Integrative Health. On her journey to motherhood (she is a new mom!), Melissa saw first hand the disconnect between pelvic health and OBGYN care.
They combined forces to utilize a holistic approach to pelvic health in their collaboration and mentoring of clinicians/ PTs and NPs. This duo is now ready to revolutionize the field of pelvic health TOGETHER!

While this interview was done Pre COVID, I know that many are thinking about how to retain control of their finances.

This interview was recorded earlier this year, yet the gems will be right on time for many.
While navigating this new normal, we may find that we have more time on our hands to focus on projects that have been on the back burner.

Maybe there is a website project that you would like to start?
Or you may have a plan to finally get consistent with putting out social media posts.

While this interview was done Pre COVID, I know that recent events have many nurses looking for ways to navigate our new normal.
Yet today, we are navigating uncertain times along with burnout.
Please note these feeling of burnout among nurses is not new and is an old problem.
In fact, back in February, things finally lined up for Burnout expert Mary Buffington to share a bit about her work over at the Burnout Ward.
March was a bit of a blur, so her episode JUST went live today.
Even with all that is going on, now is the great time to get reflective on how you are re-evaluating your self care efforts, take a listen to this helpful interview!
I don’t know about you, but it can feel like all of the rules to building a business or pivoting has changed overnight…or at least over the past few weeks.
The recent uncertainties have left a lot of business owners wondering how they will generate enough revenue to support their business and care for their needs.
While I had planned to talk to Chantelle Pre COVID 19, this interview could NOT have happened at a better time.
Chantelle Cotton is a master event and sales strategist and coach, motivational speaker with over 18 years of sales experience and a proven track record to follow. She teaches entrepreneurs, small business owners and corporations how to increase their revenue by closing more sales before, during and after an event. Her authentic sales approach is both conventional and unconventional, focusing more on the conversation and relationship building aspects of the sales process versus just sales. This technique, in turn, transforms into closing more sales, resulting in raising your bottom line. And through the creation of Luxxe Level Group sales training and business development company and the Why do I say yes program, Chantelle is able to impart wisdom from her lessons learned and experiences to the audience across the nation. She is a widely sought after speaker whose effectiveness is attributed to the fact that she has actually lived the life of what she speaks about.
