What happens after we listen to nurses? We take action.
In this episode of Know the Data LIVE, we explore the CT Nurse Wellness Project Action Framework—our statewide response to what nurses and future nurses are telling us about their mental health, well-being, and workplace experiences.
The Action Framework moves the work beyond identifying the problem to building practical, sustainable solutions across Connecticut. We discuss the six initiatives designed to strengthen Capacity, Safety, and Connection:
• CT Nurse Mental Health & Well-Being Day
• Annual CT Nurses Mental Health & Well-Being Run/Walk™
• CT Nurse-Friendly Practices™
• WenWell® Circles
• CT Nurse Wellness Community
• The 8-Minute Conversation™
Each initiative creates another opportunity to make wellness visible, accessible, actionable, and embedded into the places where nurses and future nurses live, learn, work, and receive care.
The data told us where attention is needed. The Action Framework is how we begin responding—together.

We collected the data. We listened to Connecticut nurses. Now the question is: What do we do with it?
In this episode of Know the Data LIVE, the CT Nurse Wellness Project explores how findings from the CT State of Nurse Wellness Survey are being translated from numbers into action.
We discuss how nurse voices can inform programs, partnerships, education, organizational practices, and statewide initiatives designed to strengthen nurse mental health, well-being, and workforce sustainability.
The data are not meant to sit in a report. They are a starting point for understanding where nurses need greater Capacity, Safety, and Connection—and for building solutions that respond to what nurses are actually telling us.
This is how we move from listening → learning → action.

Know the Data LIVE is a CT Nurse Wellness Project podcast series that brings the CT State of Nurse Wellness Survey findings to life.
In each episode, we go beyond the numbers to explore what Connecticut nurses and future nurses are telling us about their mental health, well-being, workplace experiences, capacity, safety, connection, and ability to sustain themselves in the profession.
Through conversations with nurses, healthcare leaders, educators, and community partners, we examine what the data mean, why they matter, and how the CT Nurse Wellness Project is translating nurse voices into meaningful statewide action.
Know the data. Understand the experience. Be part of the action.
