Nurture and Support

For round 2 of our “music prisoner exchange” Mike and I discuss Vond’s “Selvmord” (Suicide).  Mike shares the fairly unique original packaging, Kelly quibbles the cover is more murder-y than suicide-y.  So, basically a knee-slapper episode

Mike joins us this week for more Not Self Serving Recommendations.

Mel’s Rec:

Youtube Channel: 100% Star Wars – Star Wars Characters Explained: The Complete Story of Revan

* Revan is one of the best characters from the Star Wars EU now known as Legends and this is an excellent video series about him.

Mike’s Rec:

Music: Psychotica

* Mike came on the show today to specifically tell Mel to listen to Psychotica because Enrique plays an awesome cello.

* They also appear in Mike’s documentary that we’ve talked about before, Our Summer Vacation.

* Here’s a link to their Bandcamp page.

* Listen to them on Spotify

Kelly’s Rec:

Documentary: History’s Greatest Hoaxes

* available on Netflix

* A 6 episode series about some of the greatest hoaxes in history, such as Hitler’s Diaries, the Loch Ness Monster

Since we are all out of Alice Cooper albums (for now), Mike and I decided to do a “music prisoner exchange” where we share albums with each other that the other person is less aware of.

We are starting with Kelly’s offering:  Tonio K.’s “Amerika“.  This is a great album overall, but if nothing else, listen to “Merzsuite”.  More on Merz here.

See? Culture and stuff for our Squaties

More Games, More Psychotica and Pagan, more Kelly has an IMDb page

Kelly’s Self-Serving Rec:

Documentary: Psychotica & Pagan: Our Summer Vacation

* Available on Amazon Video and it’s free (sorta) for Prime Memebers

* Put together by our friend Mike Bilinski (of Pagan), it includes bits of Snarkstock 2017, Psychotica’s Reunion Tour, and Pagan’s trip to South America.

* and Kelly

* Go watch it and leave a review!

* Check out Kelly’s IMDb

Mel’s Rec:

Game App: Dragon Mania Legends

* available on all devices, even Windows phone….

* Raise baby dragons into badass fighting machines, or just tickle them and grow food. It’s up to you.

* Did I mention cute baby dragons?

* Below is my recording of a baby Water Dragon. Isn’t he adorable?

Social Media Corner:

This show marks the end of Mike and I talking about Alice Cooper.  We will never mention him again.  Ever.

OK, probably not, but this show does serve to wrap up our Alice album reviews with a discussion of favorite covers, live shows, and which of our Alice discussions got the most love on YouTube.

Our cover rankings…

MIKE

* From the Inside

* Along Came a Spider

* Love It To Death

* Constrictor

* Welcome to My Nightmare

KELLY

Mel finally watched something on Netflix and Kelly continued his Netflix documentary mastery.

Mel’s Rec:

Netflix: The End of the F***king World

* An awesomely wonderful dark comedy that aired in the UK originally.

* It’s available internationally on Netflix

* Just watch the trailer.

* It does have some trigger issues you might want to be aware of: animal violence, attempted rape, and lots of swearing.

Kelly’s Rec:

Netflix Documentary: The Toys That Made Us

* Currently has 4 episodes covering Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, and G.I. Joe toys

* Find out the stories behind some of our most beloved toys.

* Did you know that He-Man was a toy before he was a cartoon?

Social Media Corner:

Kelly: Corin Nemec: @imcorinnemec on the ol’ twitter.  If you listen to our show, we don’t need to tell you who this man is.

** Mr. Nemec WAS recommended before, way back in Episode 96 in 2015!

27!!

While we had reviewed the single Paranoiac Personality, and reviewed Paranormal (a two part review) shortly after it came out, we held off ranking it until we completed all the other previous Alice Cooper album reviews.   So, welcome to our FOURTH Paranormal-related show.

But… we’re there.  All 27 studio albums reviewed!!

We will still be back to discuss our Alice playlists, favorite album artwork, and the live albums. Paranormal rolled in as #3 on Kelly’s list, and #5 on Mike’s.

We would love to hear from our listeners what else you might find interesting for Mike and I to review.

And here are the almost final rankings, we are still reserving the right to tweak them one last time
