Nurture and Support

Spoilers Ahead: Kelly, Mike, and Mel talk Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

Kelly has problems with Space Bombers, Mike is disturbed by chunky manatee-giraffe milk, and Mel has problems with Poe.

This might be our longest episode, but we had lots to talk about.

Topics:

* Please weigh in on if porg have nipples and are milkable. This is important.

* Mike has put a lot of thought into shirtless Kylo Ren.

* No one likes Mary Poppins in space.

* Laura Dern is Awesome. Again.

* Poe and Finn belong together. Discuss.

“And in the totally fiery pit of boiling death… the lawyers, pimps and mimes”

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 26th album “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, a sequel to “Welcome To My Nightmare”.  Bob Ezrin returns, the original Alice Cooper group returns (sorta), Ke$ha, Vince Gill, and many other pop in as well.   We both like this album, but expectations were high going in – and it fell a bit short of them for us.

In editing the podcast I noticed 2 big fails on my part… I called “Some Folks” “Some Things” and “Genuine American Girl” “Real American Girl”.  Apologies!!

This was released with multiple variations of bonus tracks.  Both Mike and I feel this bonus track should have ended the album.

Also, here is Alice and crew rocking “Born This Way”

“It’s your world, but it’s my street”

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 25th album “Along Came a Spider”.  Both Mike and Kelly feel this has been an underappreciated album – and possibly Alice’s best concept album execution ever.  BTW, it was the Spinal Tap song “Hell Hole” that Kelly saw similarities with in the chorus of “I’m Hungry”.  Just a little

More Books, More Documentaries, and More #JerkWars.

Mel’s Rec:

Book: Warcross by Marie Lu

“I’m in jail in a Texas town, in my sister’s wedding gown”

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 24th album “Dirty Diamonds”.  This was a tricky album.  The highs were VERY high (Woman of Mass Distraction, Saga of Jesse Jane, Dirty Diamonds), while the lows were kind of low (Pretty Ballerina).   Still… it is Alice and therefore awesome.

BTW, in case you thought Kelly was trying to pull a fast one on saying “Stand” was an Olympic song, check out track 13 on Unity.

BONUS: Here is a Sims version of The Saga of Jesse Jane… pretty amazing…

“Me and Iggy were gigging with Ziggy…”

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 23rd album “The Eyes of Alice Cooper”.  Alice leaves the industrial world of Dragontown and Brutal Planet and returns to a more garage band sound.  The most excellent Chuck Garric also makes his first appearance on bass for Alice on this album.   While Mike and I both like this album and there are some interesting/fun songs, it didn’t soar to the top of either of our lists.

Here is Alice singing about burning all his porno….

“I was so offended, as I sat for three hours…”

This week we review Alice Cooper’s 22nd album “Dragontown”.  Dragontown is the worst place on “Brutal Planet” and continues (and ends) Alice’s brief foray into a much more industrial sound.  This album starts VERY strong, but fades a bit in our opinion in its second half.

And since we both love the song “Sex, Death and Money”, I wanted to include something on it… and I found this treasure.
