"Food is super important in our culture. As a Mexican Indigenous person, that's the way that I identify, food is an integral part of everything that we do....I think when we're speaking about Latinx culture, it's so varied and it's so diverse and food is part of the way that we can also share our culture and our identity with people that are like us and not like us." - Dominique Calza
Today on the show we are speaking with Dominique Calza (she/her/ella), Dominique currently serves as the Director for the Adalberto and Ana Guerrero Student Center at the University of Arizona where she supports the recruitment, retention, and community readiness of Latinx students. Enjoy this conversation about food, culture and how we celebrate and honor traditions through food.
