So many of us can't seem to get ahead very simply because we have ourselves convinced that we do not have the ability or skills to do so. We have ourselves convinced that we are just are not good enough. Well that's ok folks because that stuff is normal.  And the good news is we can change that pattern. In this episode, O talks about how amazingly fast our brains work and how we need to understand what it's doing so we can better control our thoughts and stay positive.  With the support of two excellent book recommendations, O discusses how our human super computers just really mess us up.

The pod is back! O explains the layoff and how he spent his summer and some of the small challenges he gave himself.  A great episode to reconnect with O, who is just a regular dude trying to help other people realize you do not have to be perfect to accomplish great things.

O goes on a bit of a rant regarding how we can make the world a better place.  It seems now more than ever, and ever since the dawn of time, people are not happy with the state of affairs in the world. And they all involve just working on ourselves, which is the one absolute we can control.

James has a new album out and an upcoming special premiering June 3rd on You Tube called "The Check Spot".  To James it was never a "dream" it was just what he knew he had to do. People have a lot of different ideas of what dreams are.  Are they just whims? Are they impossible? O uses Janis Joplin as our inspiration, noting that you do not have to be perfect to be extraordinary.  Janis Joplin was one of the best at what she did and she worked extremely hard to get where she got. She was the epitome of work hard, play hard and sadly left us too soon.  But what she accomplished in such a short career was inspirational.  She was an imperfect person yet had a profound impact on the music world.  Do not be intimidated by all the "perfect" people on the internet. You can do anything you want.
