Respawn is looking to make their massively successful battle royale even more enticing by adding a new permanent mode -- introducing Apex Arenas. The new gametype sees two teams of three battling it out in a single life, multi round fight set on a smaller map. What do we think, and will this lead to more expansion in the genre?
Destiny players who are all about the fashion (raises hand) are in for a treat. Bungie has finally pulled back the curtain on their much requested updated universal ornament system. We now have thousands of armor options and shaders seemingly at our fingertips. But there is just one small and slightly convoluted catch. Jaurez does his best to make sense of the madness.
And finally, we’ve got the NPD numbers for March, and PS5 is doing pretty good. Also, Miles Morales is still selling exceptionally well. All that and much much more on this week’s show….RIGHT NOW!

Epic is in it’s on final circle with Apple, and as the hits keep flying, so does the information. A look into Epic’s finances paints a pretty bleak picture for the race to keep our attention. Epic, while making loads on Fortnite, is losing millions of dollars to position it’s marketplace alongside Steam. They say it’s worth it; but while they are prepared to lose millions of dollars, what do the customers have at stake?
There seems to be something up at Playstation, as their first party studios try to create new productions while also working together. It’s a strange tale, but it seems we will get at least one good game out of it. We try and wade through Bloomberg’s newest reports.

What does that mean for the many users and their games? It’s mostly sad news but there is a dash of hope as we parse through Playstation’s statement.
The popular chat client Discord is reportedly up for grabs, and Microsoft is eyeing to be the last standing in a $10 billion dollar deal. What would such a move mean for Xbox? • A New Haven
A new independent studio has emerged, and Playstation is footing some of the bill. Industry vet Jade Raymond is heading up the Montreal based dev, but what does that mean for this new title? Xbox and Bethesda are finally officially one. After the record breaking acquisition stunned the gaming world late last year, we now have a better grasp on what it all means for gamers -- it is only slightly clearer than mud.
The numbers are in and games are unsurprisingly still killing it, in the early part of 2021. The NPD numbers are in, for the month of February, and there is a means for celebration for Playstation and Nintendo. But, is Jaurez feeling the top 10 list? Surely he is.

  • Epic Fall Guys
Epic games are once again making a big play in the live service gaming market. Mediatonic, the creators of the massive hit, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, are now a part of the Epic Games family. Surely this move is only good news for both parties involved, but what do we think the future holds for the cutest battle royale on the block?
Hogwarts Legacy continues to make news, and some of it finally involves the game itself. Today we discuss the leaked character creation options, and we are happy to say they have us excited. Now let’s just hope they get all the hair options correct.
Death Stranding is coming back with a vengeance, if recent rumors are to be believed. Kojima’s latest title is definitely one to talk about, but with the world yearning for the outside, can this post-apocalyptic jaunt still capture our attention? I guess a new coat of paint and story content will put our walking shoes to the test.

  • Once More, with Feeling!
Xbox continues to show they are committed to running your new and old games at their very best. FPS Boost is their newest software hack, and it claims to double and sometimes quadruple your games' fps, without any patch! Is this the future of backwards compatibility?
Sony held it's latest Stay of Play event, and while it did have a couple notable omissions, the show was fairly strong. Returnal is shaping up to be more arcade style goodness, Sifu is kicking up the competition, and I can't stop gushing over Deathloop. Also, we'll be getting new FF7 remake content way sooner than we thought.
Nintendo has a new direct! #mariogolf. We try to find a reason why it isn't Super Mario Strikers and also yearn for Breath of the Wild 2.
