  • Halo Infinite Delayed
With the next generation of consoles mere months away, PlayStation and Xbox both look for any edge to best each other this holiday season. On paper, Xbox is already clearly ahead in sheer graphical power. The Xbox Series X is a serious machine that would give most modern gaming pcs a run for their money. PlayStation on the other hand, might not have equal graphical power, but has shown some very impressive proprietary solid state hard drive tech. But none of this matters if we have nothing to play at launch. It seems PlayStation is placing it’s bets on a spinoff game to it’s well received superhero exclusive, with the new entry titled Spider-Man Miles Morales. Xbox was poised to offer real competition with its own AAA game in the form of Halo Infinite. However, after a less than spectacular debut during it’s reveal and the ongoing work issues steaming from the global pandemic, 343 Industries has decided to push the game out of the fall and to an indefinite date. What does this mean for Xbox’s holiday hopes? Can the most powerful console thrive without it’s most recognizable mascot? Should these consoles launch considering the current economy? All that and more on today’s episode of OP: Games.

  • Xbox Showcase Review
With the summer of gaming coming to a close, the Oblivious cast sit down to discuss Xbox’s July showcase. Phil Spencer and crew have set the table for what might very well be Xbox’s most important show to date, as the Series X fall launch steadily approaches.
First up, the heirs to the Halo throne have returned once again with what is hopefully their best outing yet. Master Chief has found himself back onto a halo ring, and from the outset, this looks to be a strong callback to the original game. However, some think the Chief hasn’t come dressed for the occasion.
Stopping species killing weapons isn’t the only thing up Xbox’s sleeve. With an impressive amount of new titles, Phil and company look to cater to all kinds of players. Have any of them caught our attention?
And to wrap it all up, the cast dives into the best deal in gaming -- Gamepass. Do we really want the Netflix of video games?
After spending a generation playing catchup, with few significant first party launches, will this exclusive centric showcase begin to make things right? Find out on today’s show… RIGHT NOW!

Motherboards. Graphics cards. The turing architecture. Oh, my! That's right, Juarez and Jay finally get to have it out in today's PC gaming episode. Specifically the duo are discussing the ins and outs of building a gaming rig. Now, hold your horses, they are novices at best -- Jaurez has built two and Jay has only dreamed about being as cool. Nevertheless, they are prepared to discuss their findings. What are some things to know before building? Is it really adult Legos? What is the dream build? Just how many more frames can a good RGB setup add?! All that and more on a very special late night Oblivious Presents... RIGHT NOW!

  • Star Wars Squadrons Live Reax
Maybe EA can do something right -- just maybe. Following EA Play Live 2020, the Oblivious crew is buzzing. No, we aren’t talking about FIFA again and we aren’t talking about the return of Skate. That leaves us with, you guessed it, Star Wars! EA has seemingly revived it’s Rogue Squadron franchise under the new title Star Wars: Squadrons. Brought to us by EA Motive, the same team behind the Battlefront 2 Campaign, we see a multiplayer and single player focused flight sim at a budget price. The reveal made no mistake to verbally correct many of EA’s prior shortcomings and yes I am looking at you Michael Transactions. While it’s all talk until we get our hands on the game, we have our reactions to the first gameplay trailer and our early thoughts. Are we impressed? Will we all get VR headsets? All that and more..right now!
