Octoberpod AM

While Edward October is away, Paige Elmore (Reverie True Crime podcast) stops by to share her dark reveries on The Green-Clawed Beast of the Ohio River and Slaughterhouse Canyon in Arizona & The Smurl Family Haunting.

About REVERIE TRUE CRIME. Reverie means to daydream but sometimes when we drift off into our daydreams, they can morph into our anxieties, worst fears, horrific nightmares. We may start to get lost in thoughts about the dark things occurring in the world and questioning these happenings in life. Who? How? When? Why? What?

From telling the stories of crimes to sitting down with victims and their families, Paige is passionate about all aspects. Shedding light on the dark, terrifying things that have happened and still happen in the world is very important to her.

Paige hopes that through these stories she can bring awareness to injustices and the scary reveries around us that hide in plain sight. You can e-mail suggestions and even your personal paranormal/strange and/or crime related stories to [email protected]

Winter wind whistles through the timbers of a (mostly) abandoned home as we tell a trio of true terror tales about Ouija boards! George & Ouija, written by MJ McMcAddams from an anonymous true story, spins a yarn about a ghostly menage a trois between a married couple and a vengeful spirit. Then shudder at Ouija Too: Planchette Boogaloo, in which we tell more true Ouija board encounters ... these set in Chicago during the 1980s!

This episode features guest narrator Sarah Heddins, Deadtime Storiez.

Death and dread unfold with the crackle of a lost documentary and the disturbing content of a cursed videocassette. Our first story, THE BIRD & THE BEES, tells the tragic tale of the Honey Bee Massacre and the high school stalker who turned from creepy incel to thrill killer after hearing the voices of his "Queen Bee." Then in TWENTY-TWO: FIFTY-SIX, a woman is haunted by her past; a gorgon-like creature in the backwoods of Appalachia; and the disturbing contents of a cursed VHS videotape.

This episode features guest narrators MJ McAddams (Humble Hauntings podcast), Elsa October, Jaden McKell (Straight Up Enigmas podcast), Kris Rustic (House of Muerto), Wifey (Chicken Mind Nuggets podcast), Jen (Our True Crime Podcast), and Bret Norwood.

Watch the woods! Watch 'em close! This story begins with the sound of despair and ends with death to the world. Edward October presents Bigfoot Apocalypse, a folk history of an event known by survivors as The Drop... an event during which The Squatch emerged from the forests to remake the world in their own image.
