Growing up I always heard "Don't discuss religion or politics." Now I think we've come to take this to heart so much that the two have become inseparable. We have pastors refusing congregants wearing masks and whole denominations splitting in half over politics. This is not biblical nor is it Christlike yet it has become so pervasive in the church it is nearly all the world knows about Jesus.

I'm back! Sorry for the delay I've had so much going on lately. Is there purpose for our pain? Did God create evil? Why doesn't he do anything to stop it? I weigh in on one of the most debated topics of Christianity and hopefully bring something to the table

When we try to hold on to our fears, attachments, control, and entitlement we can't reach out to God the fulfiller of all of our true desires. We accept the counterfeit over the real thing

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. Why is it blessed to mourn and when will we be comforted? What proper mourning is and why we can't take it lightly (or too extreme).

The parables are the description of the Kingdom of God and the "Sermon On The Mount" is the language and the customs of the kingdom. It should be our native tongue so are we letting it guide our thoughts? Or is our accent giving us away as not being fluent? An analogy drawn (literally) from my life to add to the "Weeds And The Dragnet" sermon as well as more info on my upcoming sermon series on "The Sermon On The Mount" in Matthew chapters 5-7

We can't judge the "lost" from the "saints" based on our incomplete evidence of their lives. We can't tell the "wheat from the weeds" this side of eternity. Even the best most wonderful fruit if eaten before it is ripe will leave a bad taste in our mouth. If we were to eat an unripe fruit it may lead us to believe the tree only produces bitter fruit but we would be mistaken.

As someone on the Autism spectrum it's hard for me to "feel" God sometimes. I don't think this is exclusively an autistic trait I think we all feel that way sometimes. This doesn't mean we're defective or our love for God isn't genuine. In fact true love perseveres without the "warm fuzzies"

We can allow ourselves to be "haunted" by whatever spirit we choose whether it's the impure spirit or The Holy Spirit. Sorry for the audio being choppy I had a series of technical difficulties and I hope you enjoy it all the same
