We recently had the honour of catching up with Salon des Amateurs resident Vladimir Ivkovic for our second radio show on Echobox. Fresh from playing Dekmantel Selectors, Fabric and at his favourite pub, The Gun, we talked about his experience of playing multiple gigs abroad for the first time again, as well as what he’s been working on for his label, Offen Music. Furthermore, Vladimir treated us to an hour-long beautiful soundscape, which was created in preparation to playing Dekmantel Selectors, featuring some of his favourite old, new and forthcoming music.

Letting his superb selections and finely honed skills behind the decks do the talking for him, Unai Trotti emerged as one of our favourite DJs and curators in recent years. With the recent launch of two new Cartulis sub-labels, we caught up with Trotti to get the lowdown on his recent projects, playing in front of a crowd again and things to come, and he’s been so kind as to share with us, the recording of a set he played at Mutabor in Moscow, featuring 3.5 hours of brilliant transitions, pulsating tech groovers, proggy house and other ‘90s oriented goodness.

Mano Le Tough kicks off our new residency on Echobox Radio with a soothing selection of downtempo favourites. With his third album recently dropping via DJ Koze’s Pampa Records, and us starting our monthly show on Echobox, which puts the focus on laid-back atmospheres across the home-listening spectrum, we put two and two together and asked Mano to do us the honours of being our first guest. Today, we warmly welcome two absolute dons of the Aussie underground, Sleep D. Maryos and Corey recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their Butter Sessions label with a stellar release, capturing the past, present and future of their local circuit. This week we’ve the pleasure of welcoming another undeniable talent of our hometown scene, Tammo Hesselink. Tammo has been releasing some pretty exciting and forward-thinking music over the past few years, operating under several pseudonyms like Melatonin Man and Dewemer, as well as his real name. Fresh from debuting his first full length live show at Amsterdam’s beautiful Muziekgebouw space, we caught up with him to hear about the show, his strong connection to Nous’Klaer Audio and his hope for the Dutch scene post-corona. Furthermore he graced us with a full-throttled mix that resembles his energetic and eclectic approach during steamy club hours.

Infectious rhythms and warm house vibes from Dig Deeper co-founder Alison Swing. A passionate crate digger and selector at heart, Alison evolved as an artist in LA’s vibrant scene and is known for serving up feel good sets that bring wide smiles to the dance floor. Alongside Masha, she co-founded the acclaimed LA Dig Deeper party series, which has seen a plethora of DJ’s from the local scene plus international guests such as Axel Boman, Omar S, Tornado Wallace and Shanti Celeste, amongst many others, delight crowds in venues and warehouses across the city. We caught up with the now Berlin-based artist to hear about what’s she’s been busy with and what lays ahead.

Honing her craft in Toronto, Ciel is equally known as DJ, producer and booker, with a commitment to elevating local artists and supporting women and queer people of colour. Pair that with her technical finesse and omnivorous tastes as a DJ and selector at the fringe of cutting-edge club culture, and you get why she has become one of the breakout stars of recent years. This turbo powered set was recorded at Red Bull Music Festival in late 2019. To accompany the mix, Cindy also gave us some open-hearted and authentic insight which you can check out below.
