A masterclass in heady house grooves by Aarhus-based tastemaker C.K. We’ve been pretty intoxicated by the way C.K has put himself on the map. Operating under a cloak of mystery, the Aarhus residing DJ and producer has carved out a little niche corner with his Safe Distribution crew when it comes to making classy and well-thought-out house music - stuff that we personally keep coming back to and consider “timeless” goodness. Cult figure and underground icon Roman Flügel joined us last June for our monthly radio show on Echobox. We caught up with the German maestro to discuss his longevity in the scene from early collaborations in the 90’s such as Primitive Painter to present day output, including an upcoming album. Liquid Earth steps forward with a briljant selection of hazy moods and modern-day steppers. Operating under a variety of different monikers, Taylor Freels has produced some seriously good deep and propulsive club music over the last couple of years. Mainly focused on his Liquid Earth project now, he recently landed original material on Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up. While Taylor is busy working on material for his new record label, touring and diving into the world of electronic engineering, we caught up to hear the latest on developments. And, much to our pleasure, he delivered the latest episode in our mix series.

A fresh dose of celestial sounds by Lauren Hansom. After spending the better part of her 20s deep diving into dusty crates, Discogs wormholes and narrating dance floors across the globe, Lauren knows a thing or two about weaving oddball selections and creating soundscapes. Amped to have her on the series, we reached out to hear about her upcoming relocation to Amsterdam, a hectic EU festival season in the works, moving into music supervision and things to come.

After our previous show with Russel E.L. Butler, we invited hometurf hero Vuur, aka Guido, to join us at Echobox Radio last month. Guido has been making moves in the Amsterdam scene over the last couple of years with his well-thought out selections. Next to playing his sexy and groove-driven sets at the likes of IsBurning, Festimi and Radio Radio, he also works at Bar Pamela, an iconic queer bar in the city of Amsterdam, where he’s responsible for programming the night slots alongside Carlos Valdes. We recently had the pleasure of connecting with Oakland-based artist Russell E.L. Butler for our monthly show on Echobox Radio. Off the back of touring Europe, we caught up with them while on a family trip to Bermuda and talked about their recent touring experience, reconnecting to the dance floor, the gentrification of Times Square, Russell’s archiving of Frankie Knuckles work and future projects. For the 4th installment of the Oddysee FM radio show on Echobox, we had the pleasure of welcoming Brescia born and Berlin based selector Vale Budino.
