Episode 83:  Off Property Stay, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT

We made a quick overnight trip to Disney World to meetup with some friends.  Lounges, Photopass, and Festival booths were included, we will discuss all of it.  Plus news and more, on episode 83 of the Mickeyphile Podcast.

2.          Disney wins 6 Oscars for 5 different films:

1.          ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE:  THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE – Jessica Chastain

2.          ANIMATED FEATURE: ENCANTO

3.          ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE:  WEST SIDE STORY – Ariana DeBose

4.          BEST DOCUMENTARY (FEATURE): SUMMER OF SOUL (…Or When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)

5.          MAKEUP AND HAIRSTYLING:  THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE – Linda Dowds, Stephanie Ingram, and Justin Raleigh

6.          COSTUME DESIGN: CRUELLA – Jenny Beaven

3.          Caribbean Cay Bridge at Caribbean Beach Resort is under refurbishment, but still open.

4.          Yacht Club exterior re-painting is completed.  Bridges at Stormalong Bay Pool are closed.  

5.          Plexiglass barriers are now removed from Magic Kingdom stores.

6.          Minnie Vans, Bibbity Boppity Boutique, and the Cultural Representative program prepare to return.  No official dates yet.

7.          Character dining and non-distanced character meets return to Disneyland Paris on 4/1/2022.

8.          RunDisney announces frozen inspired virtual 5K series. There will be 3 - 5K races from June 1 through August 31, 2022. The 5K metals feature Kristof and span, Elsa, Anna and Elsa; the 4 race challenge medal is Olaf.  General registration opens April 5, 2022, at 10 AM EST

9.          Guests of Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort can purchase tickets to H2O Glow After Hours on the Walt Disney World Resort websitebeginning March 29, with tickets on sale for the general public April 1.

1.          Animal Kingdom Lodge, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs increased to $200/pt for direct purchase.

2.          High Rock Springs pool at Saratoga Springs Resort will close from January through Late March 2023 for refurbishment
