May 26, 2022 Episode 42 - What I carry when out shooting
I'm a firm believer that you should practice wearing or carrying what you would on a competition shoot. So in this episode I cover what I carry when out shooting. I thing I carry but omitted from the list was my emergency whistle, something all archers must carry.
I enjoy getting feedback from listeners and any questions or thoughts let me know, drop me an email on [email protected] or via the website offthearrowshelf.com
Stay safe, stay well and thanks for listening.

May 19, 2022 Episode 41 - Your first field archery shoot
Welcome to another episode and in this one I'm going to give an overview of some of the things to consider when going to your first shoot, from preparation before going, to what to do when there and afterwards.
It's based on my experience with shooting in NFAS and is by no means a definitive list of everything but hopefully it will be of use. Let me know what you think.

May 11, 2022 Episode 40 - What is a field archery course
Welcome to episode 40 from Off the Arrow Shelf. In this podcast episode I going to explain what an archery field course is, how they work, you move round it etc. It comes about from a discussion I was having the other day with someone and I thought it might be of interest to others. It's based on my experiences of NFAS (National Field Archery Society) here in the UK.
As always, I hope you and all your family are doing well.

February 25, 2022 Episode 38 – Has the pandemic resulted in target panic in archers?
This may sound a bit strange but I’m seeing and hearing more archers say that they have less confidence now after the enforced break due to lockdowns and less opportunity to be out shooting.
I offer my thoughts and a couple of suggestions on what you can do if you are feeling a little anxious.
Stay safe, enjoy your archery and thanks for listening.

February 18, 2022 Mini Podcast – danger of chasing arrow speed
In this mini podcast I am focussing on the potential dangers of chasing a 300 feet per second arrow speed from your bow, when shooting at NFAS competitions.
This 300 fps limit figure is something NFAS enforces and set in the rules for compound and crossbows. I also mention how chasing speed with light arrows can be bad for trad archers

February 13, 2022 Episode 37 - Which do you prefer a shooting glove or shooting tab?
It’s a personal preference and in this podcast I’m offering my thoughts on the matter after a discussion on a Facebook group.
I’ve also included a link to Dixie Leather article on my website. https://offthearrowshelf.com/2015/08/13/equipment-review-custom-archery-tabs-from-dixie-leathercraft/

February 05, 2022 Episode 36 - COVID in the house and my thoughts on role of marshals at archery competitions
So as the title states the house has been hit by COVID so apologies if this isn't as polished or organised as other episodes.
I wanted to offer my thoughts on the role of marshals and other official at archery shoots following a series of posts on an archery Facebook group and recent proposals by the NFAS.
Stay safe, enjoy your archery and thanks for listening.

February 04, 2022 Mini podcast - practise isn't the same as just shooting arrows
I wanted to create mini podcast following a chat with Rich from Archery Geek Outdoors @A_G_Outdoors (https://archerygeekoutdoors.podbean.com/ about the importance of actual practise rather than just going through the motions of shooting arrows
