Daniel Szajta, a teacher at Clover Hill high school started Goober Time guide service after receiving his captains license during Covid. His guide service helps his clients target flatheads, blue cats, crappie, small mouth and other species of fish in the James and Chickahominy rivers. He is also a tournament catfish angler. Springtime fishing for Shad and Stripers is over and Captain Simon Valencia has moved into the Chesapeake Bay and is chasing Reds. Captain Simon started his Red season a bit earlier this year and his clients have be handsomely rewarded. Chasing Reds goes through November and it is Captain Simon's favorite fish.

Major League Fishing (MLF) is back in Richmond for 2025. This time it is the Tackle Warehouse Stop 5 on the James. This is a 3 day fishing tournament from June 20 to 22.
