Off The Road Again

Ross & Chris welcome Bryon Dorr to the show. Bryon runs Exploring Elements and is the editor of AutoWise, and contributes to Gear Junkie and Tread magazine. Bryon owns a Lexus GX that is built for overlanding, a KTM950, and a 996 Porsche 911 Turbo. The guys also discuss the Rivian R1T winning the Motor Trend Truck of the Year award, the GMC Sierra EV frontend, the Toyota/Lexus upcoming catalog of BEVs, and Land Rover Trek.

Ross & Chris welcome Vaugh Gittin Jr to the show. Vaughn is a former Formula D champion, an Ultra4 champion, and is the man behind RTR Vehicles and Fun Haver. Vaughn recently created an amazing video with Ford Performance called Free Rein: Faroe Islands. Vaughn and his teammate, Loren Healy, are preparing for King of the Hammers 2021. The guys discuss Ford Broncos, Bronco R, Vaughn's RTR Fun Runner, and a Ford Raptor on the Nurburgring.

Ross & Chris welcome Scott Tallon to the show. Scott is the Director of US Jeep Brand Product Marketing. He has a Wrangler and a Grand Cherokee L in his stable along with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody. The guys discussed the new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe, Grand Cherokee L, Wrangler 4xe, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer. Electrification is discussed at length for Jeep.

Ross & Chris do a show! The guys discuss the Mazda CX-50 and the new Ford Ranger. They also do a repeat of an earlier show by looking at off-roaders below $5k, $10k, $25k, $50k, $75k, and $100k. Ross lists what vehicles he thinks should be available in each price range and Chris went shopping for actual online listings for vehicles in the categories. Below $5k and over $100k might be the best two segments!

Ross & Chris welcome Levi Shirley back to the show. Levi races in King of the Hammers and Ultra4. Loretta is his race truck and there is a new race vehicle coming in 2022. Levi has worked with Ford before training engineers and definitely loves to drive fast in the dirt. The guys also discuss how a 2022 RZR matches up against a 392 Wrangler, the Chevy Beast, the SEMA Ford Broncos, and the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe RST that Ross was driving. 

Ross & Chris welcome Jim OBrill to the show. Jim is the marketing director for the Chicago Auto Show and cohosts the Drive Chicago radio show. Jim owns a 4th gen 4Runner and has driven a ton of new vehicles. Jim also runs the forgotten survivors 312 Instagram channel. The guys also discuss the Bronco Raptor spy shots, the 2022 RZR Wide Open lineup, and a bunch of SEMA trucks. 

Ross & Chris welcome Matt Swartz to the show. Matt is a senior editor at Overland Journal and Expedition Portal. Matt spent 3 years living in a Clark Cortez RV and in recent years has taken up paragliding. The guys also discuss Ford's Bronco DR, the new Ranger testing in the wild, and an Antarctic Rally Porsche 356.

Ross & Chris welcome Jeff Glucker back to the show. Jeff hosts Shift Talkers on Motortrend, makes videos for AutoTrader, is the editor-in-chief of Hooniverse, and will eventually be a guest on Spike's Car Radio. Jeff competed in a Land Rover Trek competition and has driven Bronco and Defender.

Ross & Chris welcome Robby DeGraff back to the show. Robby and Chris attended the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA) fall rally at Road America. Chris drove the Ram TRX, the Jeep 392 Wrangler, the Ford Bronco (2.7 & 2.3), the Ford Raptor, the Subaru BRZ, the Subaru Outback Wilderness, and the Nissan Frontier.

Ross & Chris welcome Kurt Williams from Cruiser Outfitters to the show. Kurt has been a part of overland trips with Expedition Overland, is a member of the Canguro Racing team, and is a board member of the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Salt Lake City, UT.
