In the last episode of the season, I chat with photographer Rian Fuller about her grief journey and how to have hope when the holidays are bittersweet. We also discuss a wedding "trend" that we both are hoping to see more of next year (it might surprise you!), the importance of family photos, and the part of our job that can be a challenge as a creative business owner.
If you or someone you know is grieving this Christmas, Rian shares some advice on what was helpful for her when she experienced loss, and reminds us all that despite our hardships, God is still good.

In this week's episode, calligrapher Maurelle De Los Santos shares how a high school class led to her interest in calligraphy despite her college major being the exact opposite of what she's doing now. We also chat about her life as a homeschooling mom and business owner, how the covid years changed her workshops, and the answered prayer that led to her doing live calligraphy with big brands like Tiffany and Co.
Do you want to get in the habit of journaling your prayers? I think this episode will be just the encouragement you need to get started.

In this week's special episode, I share something near and dear to my heart in anticipation of the upcoming gift season- supporting small businesses. All of the guests on the show are entrepreneurs and business owners in the wedding industry, and a lot of y’all that listen are too. So, today I am going to share some of my favorite businesses that you can support as you buy gifts for loved ones. Some of these are former or future guests on the show, some are my friends, and some are just businesses I really, really love.
Over the next few weeks, I'd encourage you to support whatever small or local businesses you love! Share their posts, talk about your favorite product of theirs, or just buy local when you can. It truly means the world when our friends support our work.
