As the J-Spot's grand-opening nears, Joan is on edge. William's new pretty, quirky friend reminds her of "someone".  Maya, Toni or Lynn try to get queen of comedy Mo'Nique to make an appearance the J Spot opening, but encounter a few problems. 

Despite Joan's efforts to make it a memorable occasion, her first Valentine's Day with William turns into an evening of sexual awkwardness. The rest of the girls have a Valentine's Day dinner together where they confess secrets they have never told anyone.

During a house-showing, Toni's client (Idris Elba), her wealthy handsome ex, seals the deal with a kiss. Todd hits pause on, he & Toni's divorce once he learns she's moved on. The new head chef for the J- spot, has an interesting history with William, that causes Joan to... panic.

William surprises Joan with a romantic Christmas getaway in Puerto Rico, but they wind up stuck at a seedy motel after a blizzard strands them in Cincinnati during a layover. Meanwhile, Lynn, Maya and Toni take advantage of Joan's absence to enjoy the holiday at her house without all of her strict Christmas rules and other demanding behavior.

Lynn's adoptive father, Ed Searcy becomes jealous when her biological father, Ken Miles arrives for a visit. Meanwhile, Toni avoids Todd's divorce lawyer. Joan and William have a hard time defining what's a date and what's not. 

A panicked visit to the hospital encourages Joan to finally confront her feelings about William; Maya & Joan are ambushed on Lynn's TV show. Toni is... still pregnant.
