The boys kick off 2021 a bit on the nose with a shared appreciation for the U2 smash single "New Year's Day", as well as a discussion of its respective album "War", the lads' third album. As per usual we also air our fast food sins, discuss the Edge's potential for evolutionary regression, and the legacy of Ernest P. Worrell.

Well, we really get into it on this one. We manage to talk quite a bit about the Foo Fighters' excellent 1997 album "The Colour and the Shape" but the real star of the show is the McRib, which has recently made its triumphant return across these united states. Jim consumed one (as well as many other items) and feels sick, Patrick is behind the bench ready to defend the good name of the sandwich, and return guest Jarrod Staples has his own recent McRib tales. Christopher just has many questions because as of this recording he had never had a McRib. As of this writing, he has very recently. And he's getting sleepy. This album is very good.

Abe Taber of Nickelbackin' joins the Old Boys as we review Sonic Youth's 1988 magnum opus "Daydream Nation". Other lively discussions broach the work of world-renowned saxophonist Dave Sanborn, subjective experiences with 5G, and Mike Watt's comical pronunciation of the word "window".

Fall is here again and once again Christopher is reaching into his inner sadboi by selecting another album by the Cure. This time, 2000's Bloodflowers is on the docket, and Christopher goes into why he may be biased towards this album. We also discuss defunct New England store chains Paperama and Ann & Hope, the net worth of Herb Alpert, and the times that Jim is sitting on the poo-poo can. Austin Scholl (ThornBrain, Sophomore Slumps) joins in.

We're joined by Todd Bowes (Downcity Armory) as we parse this album by Brooklyn Vampyrs, in addition to looking for condos in Boston (spoiler: throw a rock blindly and you'll hit one), the dirt lot where they filmed Judgement Night, Gary Young's "Plant Man", and Patrick in general just acts like a big baby. The usual sort of thing around these parts.
