We're ringing in Fall over here at the OMYAC Factory the best way we know how: by listening to Type O Negative's 1996 goth dirge opus "October Rust"! We're joined by Todd Bowes (Downcity Armory) as we parse this album by Brooklyn Vampyrs, in addition to looking for condos in Boston (spoiler: throw a rock blindly and you'll hit one), the dirt lot where they filmed Judgement Night, Gary Young's "Plant Man", and Patrick in general just acts like a big baby. The usual sort of thing around these parts.

The lads convene once-a more to discuss the lads from Swindon XTC, specifically their 1979 landmark record "Drums & Wires". We're joined once again by Matt Ohanian (bass player for DAEVES, Bears For Years, and all-around goodboy) to discuss Colin Moulding's absolutely stellar bass playing, how many Nigels there actually are in the world (the final number may shock you), and the life expectancy in Bulgaria. It has to do with their jelly-like milk or something?

Come one come all as we dive into Sigur Rós's 2008 ray of sunshine that is "Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" (With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly)! We're joined by Scott Kurland (Hell is a Musical, Writer's Bagel Basket, and Where in the World is Steven Quincy Urkel?) as three fourths of the gang struggle with pronunciation as one struggles slightly less. We also manage to discuss Tommy Wiseau's gamey piece of meat, how we may actually be living in an M. Knight Shyamalanesque film as ghost podcasters, and how everything has turned into an Ames catalog. Also, Patrick makes an Air joke that is featured on an episode of the Gilmore Girls.

Patrick picks a Rundie classic for this installment; Todd Rundgren's "A Wizard, A True Star" released in 1973 (one day after Dark Side of the Moon, oddly enough). The record is often cited as a huge influence on the "bedroom pop" phenomenon of the 2010s and is heavily revered by artists like Trent Reznor, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), and Ariel Pink. So anyway, Christopher and Jim hated this record and so did our wonderful repeat guest Tyler Kent (of GEPH and the "Thriller" episode) so things get spicy. Also in our robust spice rack of discussion is rogue state Radio Shacks, starch moguls, Rundgren's unfortunate influence on incel culture, powerdads, and jfc we really need to cool it on our greasy spoon chatter.

As we approach the Summer Solstice, the boys are delving into an album that revels in the warmth as well as occasional iciness, Sóley's 2015 album "Ask the Deep". A personal favorite of Christopher's, they discuss the album as well as alien abductions in New Hampshire, Crime Animals, Bring Backs, a love of Jimmy Stewart, and all of the ways you can die in a recording studio. John Greene (Fifth Business, Nickelbackin') joins in.
