He is one of the creative partners who started AC Jokes in Atlantic City, NJ. Matt tells Christy about avoiding the city club circuit because fighting over 5 minute spots versus creating rooms and producing big shows in the casinos where he could get quality stagetime and really develop his comedic voice that way. After 25 years and opening a few rooms in AC, Matt has made a name for himself and gets paid to do what he loves... talk about success....NICE!! Originally from Queens, NY, Steven moved to Japan for a few years to perform (Geez, how unfunny was he that he had to go overseas to perform? 🤣🥁💀). Now that he is back in the USA working his charm on the comedy stages of NYC, we talk about his extreme weightloss, his short experiences with the comedy club booking process and tiktok comics and how he's quickly understanding how f*%ked up it all is, performing in Abu Dhabi, to loving my comedy album, "Brutally Yours" (what a suck up! 🤣🥁💀), and wanting to push himself to be an actual great stand up comic. She may be only 12 years in as a stand up, but she has spent a couple decades behind the scenes producing comedy. Starting out in her younger years as a musician, to producing comedy shows, booking gay comics for the Howard Stern Show in the early 90's, to taking comedy classes from the one and only Jessica Kirson, Dana has carved out her own niche in the stand up world with her incredibly smart writing and dead pan delivery. Following in the footsteps of transgender comedy greats such as Julia Scotti and Jaye McBride, she is definitey making a name for herself in the NYC comedy circuit.
