In the book of Ezekiel chapter 9, an angel was asked to mark on forehead those who would be spared from the judgement! In Hebrew the word mark is actually an alphabet "tau" which in old script represented by cross. Those who had the cross were exempted from the judgement.  In the book of Revelation those who were marked by God were escaping the sting of locust which was like the sting of a scorpion which tormented for 6 months. If we believe in Jesus we will be marked by the angel so that we will escape the final judgement!

Clarity of Joel's message is increasing. Now if the calamity is personal repentance must also be personal. If the problem is national, repentance must be on national level. Nahum 1:1 uses two words "burden" and "vision". In Hebrew "mass" and "chaza". Every believer should learn to wait in the presence of the Lord until the Lord transfers his burden to your heart and begin to see into the future. Isaiah had an encounter and was asked the question who will go for us? He responded saying, here am I, send me. To become a prophet the Lord calls a person and the person also responds and says here am I, send me. Nahum sees the battle and Nineveh destroyed.
