In this scripture passage we see three kinds of people. Natural man, Spiritual man and Spiritual man not growing but remaining a child still feeding on milk not solid food.I have demonstrated this with three plastic water bottles. one with lid closed represents natural man, without salvation. Even though the rain of God's mercy, grace, love is falling all around nothing gets inside since the lid is on. The second, the lid is open, some water may get in but doesn't fill the bottle quickly as the opening is narrow. The third is a bottle that you take a knife and chop of the top part, making the mouth very wide. This gets filled quickly.

Saul and David were anointed by Prophet Samuel! But we see two different outcomes. One lasted just one life time and the other lasted into Eternity. On the surface of it, it is not clear. Saul reigned for 42 years and David only 40 years. Saul was self centred and David God centred. Saul had very dramatic experiences with the Holy Spirit. David not so dramatic but he moved in revelation, prophesied about Jesus Christ!

After the Pentecost as the disciples Peter and John were walking to the temple for prayer, they saw a man crippled from birth sitting at the Beautiful Gate to receive alms. One of them could have told the other, look straight and don't make an eye contact as there is that guy sitting there. When he expected to receive alms from them, Peter said those oft repeated golden words, "silver or gold have I none, but such as I have I give thee, In the Name of Jesus Christ rise up and walk"! What if they said our Lord is not here anymore. What can we do now? Some of us have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. But we are stuck at the gate called Beautiful, ironically.

A Christian is a transformed person not a person who is fixed of his faults. The natural man or flesh or old man refers to a person who is a Christian now and his former self is described in those words. Through a process of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, he turns over a new leaf. If anyone is in Christ, behold all things old have passed away and everything is become new. We are exploring this new man by looking at the life of Saul who became Paul!

We see four characters in this parable of the prodigal son. The strong and reliable character is of the Father. The Lord guided me to this parable for resolving conflict. Then, I said to the Lord, "How do I apply this parable to conflict in marriage? or between parents in children etc". The Lord said, "unhinge the characters and look at them as paradigms". As long as we are clear about what the characteristics are of Father, Elder Son and Younger Son, you can take them to help solve the conflict. If the conflict is between father and a son in a family and if the father has traits of Younger son and the son has the traits of the father, then the son plays the role of the Father in the parable. The father has to repent and come to the son. I hope it is not confusing!

In the garden of Eden, they had many choices that are good except one. In the modern days we have many choices which are wrong except one in many cases! In the case of Manoah and his wife, they looked to God for solution of sterility and they have done well. Sterility is a limitation on that family. When we surrender our limitations the Lord is able to bless it in many unlimited ways for His glory. They wanted instructions on how to raise the promised son and the Lord was over indulgent and sent the angel twice. The mother had to consecrate herself for the sake of special child. Can we get a child with supernatural purpose if we pray and consecrate ourselves?

Jesus taught how to worship God not a priest, not to a prophet, not to a king, not to a Jew, but to a simple woman came to quench her thirst at the well. What qualified for such a revelation such as was never given to anyone not even to Nicodemus. She had thirst, a very deep thirst and capacity to drink deep. To her He revealed that He himself is the Messiah! And worship is being untangled from location, race etc. God is Spirit and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and Truth!
