Daniel Kim of New Relic talks to Adriana and Ana about how DMing technology company CEOs on Twitter helped kick off his tech career and eventually led him to his current role as a Principal Developer Relations Engineer at New Relic. He also talks about his favorite things about working in DevRel, how he got into OpenTelemetry, and some tips on creating technical documentation. Daniel also leaves us with his thoughts on how schools should adapt to the changing technology landscape and some tips for those starting out their careers in tech.

Jen Shute of Slalom Build talks to Adriana and Ana about how she started out with a psychology degree, working in human services, and how an interest in tech led her from Quality Engineer to Systems Engineer to her current role as a Senior Director of Platform Engineering. This week, Adriana and Ana dive into the world of security with none other than Michael Kehoe, author and security guru. Michael talks about his early start as an SRE, fresh out of school, and how he eventually made his way into the security realm, leveraging SRE principles to help him in his day-to-day work. Author and SLO guru extraordinaire Alex Hidalgo talks to hosts Adriana and Ana about starting out in tech young, giving up on tech and getting a degree in Philosophy, finding his way back to tech, and eventually discovering a passion for Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Alex digs deep into SLOs, answering questions like: What are SLOs? Why are they important? How do they fit into reliability? He also talks about the OpenSLO project, which aims to be a vendor-neutral way to codify and standardize the definition of SLOs.

We’re baaaaack! Adriana and Ana are back with OCMM Season 2, with new branding, new guests, and new banter!
