Of all the issues facing this world, we would be much better off if we paid attention to the real and present dangers and concerns that are in our face daily, and not the ones fabricated to take our attention away from that which could actually hurt us. Trans folks are beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made, and deserving of our love, respect and protection. Politicians, and others, are working hard to turn this loving community into a wedge issue, and they won’t stand for it. Once again Kelly and Clint don’t shy away from any topic and hope that their efforts to sit, chat, learn, love, and grow encourage you to do the very same thing.

Kelly and Clint sit down and have a discussion inspired by the Maya Angelou quote, “when people show you who they are, believe them the first time.” This practice is one that needs to be adhered to now more than ever. As they open up about times they have not lived by this rule, Kelly and Clint discuss how doing that now in the “adulting” phase of life makes all the difference. This crazy time will one day end largely because of more and more people breaking the cycle of letting people continue to lead even when they have continually broken trust. When we all finally say “we get it, we believe you, we know you only care about yourself, and that’s why we’re voting you out”…that’s when we will finally see long lasting change in this world. Kelly and Clint want to hopefully help open the doors to people who want to stop that endless loop.

Kelly and Clint sit down to discuss all things women’s healthcare. A discussion largely inspired by the music festival Daisy Chain Fields which was created by singer/songwriter/actor Olivia Rodrigo to bring awareness to and raise money for all things women’s healthcare. A festival that in the end raised over twenty million dollars. Kelly and Clint have this discussion from the perspectives of two kids who continue to deconstruct growing up in the deep south and the evangelical church…which will be foreign to some and very familiar to others. Such a tough discussion for so many largely in part to one big A-word, and one that will certainly alienate as it has for so long. But maybe those of us that want to can sit down and keep talking with open hearts.

This news has not only hit Waco hard but it has struck a nerve with the entire country. Kelly and Clint are beside themselves as "leaders" who claim they "support the troops" continue to do just the opposite, and all the while voters who claim the same...keep voting for them.

After just wrapping up a round table discussion in a church basement with concerned citizens of Waco, Vikki's team said..."hey we love your podcast...could we shoot one real quick?" Easiest yes ever! So without our couch, pillows, or even our microphones, we found a room and sat down to discuss Vikki's passion to fix the failing healthcare system in Texas and why she's running to be the next Lieutenant Governor or Texas.

They find themselves, like millions of folks all over the country, headed back to school after the summer. So it only made sense to talk about all the ways the public school system has impacted them in their young lives and now with their own kids and community. Public schools all over this country are under attack and being defunded, devalued, and torn apart by corrupt politicians. It's beyond time to stand up and fight for these schools and the wonderful people that make them such great environments for our kids every day. Thanks for watching!

In a recent Instagram post Sharon McMahon, ( ⁨@sharonsaysso⁩ ) aka America's Government Teacher, highlighted a study which showed that 48% of Gen Z stays away from church because of the church's support of Trump. Since Kelly and Clint's upbringing as young kids and young adults was largely in the church they of course had to talk about it! They're both grateful for those taking the big risk of stepping away from a place so familiar to stand up for what's right.
