On Everyday with Tyler & Liam

The Edmonton Oilers have some huge games coming up starting tomorrow against the Vegas Golden Knights. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will dive into that game a little today; however, be on the lookout for tomorrow's Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show for a more in-depth look. 

On today's show, Tyler and Liam will be joined by Mike McKenna from Daily Faceoff. Not only will they take a look at what is happening with the Edmonton Oilers but also the news from around the NHL. It was not a perfect game but the Edmonton Oilers sent fans home happy last night, and they did it in historic fashion. After trailing 3-2 to the Arizona Coyotes in the third period, the Oilers dug deep to tie the game up with a goal from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sending the game to overtime. Then in overtime, history was made when Leon Draisaitl found Connor McDavid, who beat Connor Ingram one-on-one to score his 60th goal of the season. 

On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will break down that 60th goal from McDavid along with everything else that went down. Liam Horrobin will be around as well to discuss the historic night at Rogers Place. It is an Edmonton Oilers game day which means today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition. Tyler Yaremchuk will be around along with Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin to get you all set up for the action down at Rogers Place. 

Tonight's opponents will be the Arizona Coyotes for only the second time this season. In the first matchup between the two, the Oilers took care of business beating the Yotes 8-2. Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins snapped home a pair of goals each, along with Leon Draisaitl, Klim Kostin, Derek Ryan and Brett Kulak, who all got a goal each. Between the pipes, Stuart Skinner stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced.

I hope everybody had some bananas available to them last night because boy oh boy was that a stressful game. 

The Edmonton Oilers found themselves in a shootout versus the San Jose Sharks, one of the worst teams in the NHL. There were nine goals that counted in the game; however, thanks to the sharp eyes of Jeremy Coupal and Noah Segall the Sharks had three goals waived off. Darnell Nurse closed the game out with an overtime winner, which set a new franchise record for most overtime goals by a defenceman.

Today will be a busy episode of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

Firstly, we have to recap everything that went down on Saturday afternoon. The Edmonton Oilers were down in Seattle for a big divisional matchup, which resulted in a 6-4 win for the good guys. Evander Kane banged home a hat trick which helped the Oilers put a bigger gap between themselves and the Kraken.

Also on Saturday, The Nation's 15th birthday party happened at The Pint Downtown. Tyler and Jay Downton will recap the events that occurred and talk about what the party meant. The Edmonton Oilers put together a strong 60 minute performance last night at Rogers Place to take down the Dallas Stars. They came very close to snatching their first shutout of the season; however, rookie forward Wyatt Johnston had other plans, scoring midway through the third period. Despite the shutout not happening, it was a positive result for the Oilers beating the Stars 4-1. 

On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk will break down everything that happened with his three big things. He will talk about those things with Liam Horrobin, Baggedmilk and potentially some special guests.

The Edmonton Oilers will look for their second win in a row tonight when they host the Dallas Stars. The Stars were in Vancouver on Tuesday taking on the Canucks, and ended up losing 5-2. However, before that defeat, Dallas had won three games in a row scoring 19 goals over that span.

Leon Draisaitl must have known that Oilersnation Germany was in town last night; he put together an outstanding performance for the Edmonton Oilers last night. The Oilers superstar forward scored a pair of goals in the team's 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators, which also helped him hit the 100-point mark. Draisaitl has now hit the 100 point tally in back-to-back seasons and the 4th time in his career.

The Edmonton Oilers are back at Rogers Place tonight after a four game road trip out east last week. The Oilers split the trip with wins over the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, and the losses coming against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets.

Last night Rogers Place was filled with fans of the JUNOS, but tonight it will be loaded with Oilers fans when they take on the Ottawa Senators. The two teams collided after the NHL All Star break which saw Edmonton come away with two points. Can they do the same tonight?
