Are you living and running your business with INTENTION?
You may be asking...what actually is Intentional Living and how the heck do you achieve it?
As we roll into the holidays and into the new year, I thought this would be a timely topic to discuss.
This week on the On Fire Empire Podcast, we talk about intentional living. Living with intention is first knowing what you want! Think about that for a moment, do you know what you want...honestly? Are you actively going after what you want? Are all of your daily thoughts and actions intentional to get you one step closer to the life you want?
Listen to today's episode and start living with INTENTION. You can do this!
LISTEN IN TO HEAR:
You won’t want to miss this episode – It is one thing to have an Intention, in the middle of intention and what you want, is the why. This is what drives your motivation. Meaning is everything!

Are you dreading the holidays?
I know sometimes we think, "oh I have to see that odd ball family member that has such weird views and if I have to listen to them again..."
Let's turn that on its head and get intentional about how we roll into the holidays.
This week on the On Fire Empire Podcast, we are getting personal. With the holidays coming up it is a good time to practice keeping ourselves open to new perspectives and becoming intentional in managing challenging situations. Just as we do in business we must adapt and understand how to pivot.
The majority of modern holidays were born from a religion or faith-based idiology, and there was INTENTION behind their creation.
LISTEN IN TO HEAR:
You won’t want to miss this episode – We can't control every situation; we CAN control our reaction and perspective on them.
Happy listening,
Kelly

This week on the On Fire Empire Podcast, I am discussing Quiet Quitting, a new trend that has been in the news since summer 2022. It all started with a seventeen second video on Tik Tok. (I know right!?)
Simply, Quiet Quitting is when someone is not outright quitting their job, but they are quitting the idea of going above and beyond; still performing their duties, only doing the bare minimum.
We cannot let this trend invite scarcity into our lives and businesses.
LISTEN IN TO HEAR:
You won’t want to miss this episode – We can't change the world if we have a team that is doing the bare minimum.
This new trend is the anti-work life balance. Learn how to take charge and help support your employees so everyone can serve your clients and customers while being ALL in.

On this shorty-episode, Kelly takes a call from Christy. Christy and her husband have a rocky marriage, and he won't go to counseling. Christy's thinking that maybe a trial separation is in order - but hubby is super prickly and she doesn't know how to broach the subject.
With her lawyer hat squarely in place, Kelly hears Christy's question for the first time and gives Christy practical advice that only a super-seasoned divorce and mediation lawyer can give. Listen in and learn:
. . . Why ultimatums don't work, and the smarter approach that does.
. . . What Empowerment Zones are, and how to live in those zones.
. . . How to approach a spouse who views hard conversations as personal attacks.
. . . How to set yourself up for a productive conversation by leading with love, sticking to facts over feelings, choosing a smart location for the discussion and using time limits.
Is legal separation right for Christy? You be the judge.

Are you stuck with bad hiring decisions because you’ve been in desperate need of employees? In the age of the “hiring desert” - not enough qualified job candidates to go around - this happens quite frequently. But there are steps you can take today to start turning your hiring practices around.
In this episode, Kelly shares three crucial components to hiring the right employees. These are tried and true methods learned over Kelly's 35 years in business.
1) Hire intentionally and methodically; and create a backup plan.
2) Hire for company culture.
3) Develop a hiring process. You can’t afford to wing this.
You'll also learn:
How to get out of the “any warm body” danger zone when hiring.
How to use pre-framing when hiring. What do you want your team to look like? What are your team’s core values?
How a screening system gives you a more complete picture of candidates while freeing up your time.
How a 90 day probationary period should be the minimum, allowing time for the new hire shine and polish to wear off.
Plus, you’ll get a peek into how our entire hiring process works. It’s involved yet streamlined, and very effective in helping us hire the right people.
If you’re struggling to figure out how to hire the right people, this episode's for you!

If your value chain breaks it can disrupt your business big time. Value chains are the processes you have in place to deliver your products and services to your clients. This break might be caused by an employee failing to do their job properly because they didn't have the appropriate training. And that’s totally fixable.
The right training process sets employees up for success and helps them become peak performers. Showing them the ropes is more than just telling them not to break the rules; you’re actually showing them what to do. No more guessing.
This episode is the second in Kelly's "Business Trinity" series (Culture, Training, Hiring). Kelly discusses why the right training keeps your business moving down the path to success. It doesn’t matter if there are only two of you in the organization… training is absolutely critical to your success!
In this episode you'll learn the 4 Key Elements to an effective training process (what training IS and IS NOT) . . . When you get your training right, as a business owner you'll gain freedom to operate and work on your business in the most productive and profitable way possible.

Is a great work culture all about perks and goodies? Free lunches, nap rooms, and onsite chefs? Nope. Studies show that perks don’t result in a better work culture, and they don’t create peak performers.
If you’ve got too much drama and negativity in your workplace…you're not alone.
In this episode, Kelly shows you what works and what doesn’t when it comes to creating a happier and more productive work team. This is part one in the three-part Business Trinity series (Culture, Training, Hiring). If you’re not sure how to build an amazing culture in your business, this episode gives you answers.
Here's the Implementation assignment Kelly gave you in this episode:
"Culture is not values or mission statements; those are ideals, not disciplines. Culture is how we treat each other, how we talk to each other, whether or not we trust each other, and how we handle conflict. Culture is about accountability, measuring, a bias for urgency, a focus on solutions, calling it tight - saying what needs to be said - being kind and generous, acknowledging one another, and expressing appreciation." ~ from The Road Less Stupid by Keith Cunningham
What you want your company culture to look like? Answer:
Decide on one to two things that need to go right away so you can develop the quality culture that you deserve in your business.

As a leaders, we need a team of peak performers to execute the vision. But the low performers in our organizations suck our time, our energy, while our top performers get little attention. What’s the fix?
Here’s some quick thoughts from Kelly, on why "running with the racehorses" is so much better than babysitting the nags.
