What is your ONE THING in life?  Would you say that your one thing was BLESSING GOD?

We are all CALLED to live in community with other followers of Jesus.  But sometimes we can see people as only a problem to be solved or a widget in a big machine.

But each person is someone whom God created and for whom Christ died.  And we can't make disciples of Christ UNLESS we're living in COMMUNITY with other followers.  That's what God's Word says in Hebrews 10:24-25.

Obedience is essential to stay on the road home to our Father.  Obedience isn't legalism.  And we shouldn't try to use our obedience just to get what we want.  Obedience is all about having and maintaining a growing relationship with God.

The better our relationship with God, the better our obedience will be.  So, what is your relationship with God like right now and how would you describe your obedience?

We all need Humility in consistent doses for our journey home as we walk with Jesus.

Humility will keep us from trying to control people our kids, our co-workers, and our family.
Humility will keep us from thinking too highly of ourselves.
Humility will keep us from thinking too lowly of ourselves.
Humility will lead us to love being with God because of WHO HE IS, 
and not so much because of what HE CAN GIVE US.

We all experience suffering during our life .  We cannot escape suffering.  It is real and not an illusion that we can ignore or suppress.  But how do we deal with the suffering?  And how can we find HOPE?

It's easy for our emotions or our runaway thoughts to take the driver's seat and hijack our faith.  We can find ourselves leaving a place of security in God into insecurity as we face life's challenges.

DJ and Ryan talk through how OUR SECURITY IN GOD,  which is renewed and reviewed through worship can powerful impact our lives.  In worship, through God's Word, we encounter and connect in relationship with the God who saves us, keeps us, and protects us like the mountains surround Jerusalem.

There is not an eternal fist that will keep pounding us in the face.  We are protected in this life and eternally through God's love and power through His salvation given to us through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
