Jesus promised His followers that when He left to return to His Father in Heaven that they would do greater works than the ones He had done.

But what exactly are those greater works?  Could it be that loving someone practically and sacrificially who is very different than you is one of those greater works?

What if sharing your story of coming to know Jesus or living your life WITH JESUS so that someone becomes interested in who Jesus is, is one of the GREATER WORKS?

Jesus calls His followers to live their lives, not for themselves but for the Kingdom of God, and to do good works that He prepared us in advance to do (Eph. 2:10)!

Listen today and be ENCOURAGED that God wants to use you, and CAN USE YOU, just as you are, in the every day schedule of your life, to reach, serve, and LOVE people for Him!

How would you describe your relationship with God at this moment?  

Obedience is an important part of that relationship, but God is more interested in our hearts and minds than in merely external obedience.

If God has OUR HEARTS, He will naturally have our external obedience as well.

A more mature faith is what each of us wants.  Obedience is a key part, but discovering how our relationship with God is the foundation behind our obedience can encourage us in many ways.

Actively participating in Our Mission gives us great meaning in life.  But what is our mission?

Our mission is to MAKE DISCIPLES in all the world of EVERY PEOPLE and of EVERY NATION.  This is why Jesus came and it's what He's sending us to do together.

It takes a team to build a bridge.  When we work together we can help each other overcome our tendencies to be TOO BUSY, TOO DISTRACTED, or TOO DISCOURAGED.

Our new VISION statement isn't meant to be a catchy slogan that fits on a T-SHIRT,
because it definitely WON'T!  It's too long.

But the point of our VISION STATEMENT is to give us a redefined focus for the next three to five years that will help us better achieve our MISSION to MAKE DISCIPLES.

In today's podcast, Joel and Ryan discuss how Reaching, Maturing, and Multiplying people in our body and especially in our Life Groups will be an important focus for us in next few years.

Reaching, Maturing, and Multiplying aren't an activity for SOMEONE to do alone.  It's a team task that our Life Groups will be doing together which will lead to reaching more people through God's Word by the Power of the Holy Spirit as He works through us.

Most of our relationships need a REFOCUS from time to time.  It's easy to drift.  It's easy to lose passion.  It's easy to be discouraged.

SO...allow this podcast with Joel and Ryan to be the nice little "kick in the pants" that we're praying this will be...so that we'll ALL reignite a passionate relationship with Jesus.

How is your prayer life with God?  How well are you able to share a sweet little message from God's Word to people who might need it in your life (including you)?  How can we stay on our MISSION that Jesus gave to us to make disciples when we are fed up with people?

Jesus really loves you!  He wants a REAL relationship with us.  But what will it take to persuade us to become an ALL IN active part of a local church?

For someone who is a part of Cornerstone, we define ALL IN as consistently connecting with God through worship on our Sunday Morning Gathering, becoming an active part of a smaller group of people in a Life Group, and finding a place to serve WITH OTHERS using the spiritual gifts that the the Holy Spirit has given to you to use to build up Christ's body.

Living on Mission for Jesus is not living on vacation.  We need to be reminded to encourage one another to LOVE and GOOD DEEDS for Jesus.  It's easy to drift.  It's easy to be selfish.

As we are unified in worshipping God, great things can happen with us as a body and in our community.

Worship is our whole life in response to God's WORK to SAVE US from our sin.  Worship is powerful.  Being unified in our worship is ESSENTIAL!

This is probably the reason that the enemy targets our worship to be a place of disunity rather than a UNIFIED powerful place to PRAISE JESUS together.

As a local church, Cornerstone's Elders have developed our mission and vision, and also a statement on our WORSHIP DISTINCTIVES that are BASED on SCRIPTURE.

Of all the podcasts to listen to, this one and the next will be very important for our body life as a family of faith as we walk together with JESUS!
