In the middle of the pandemic, I had almost 40 people that I was responsible for in the clinical space. You remember, those were dark times. It seemed that everyone wanted a therapist because they were trying to make sense of things and adjust to their “new normal”. It was during these discussions that I noticed a few themes coming up. Regardless of the person’s background, social economic status, age, or location, I gathered that people were trying to understand the purpose for their lives, and that they were tackling some really big age old concepts of love, joy, finding peace, forgiveness, discipline or self control. You may have found yourself questioning these very themes in your own life. So, since we are here on the tiny couch together, let's try to unpack these timeless topics, how they show up in our everyday lives, and how to cope when we find ourselves at war with life. This will be a series of sorts, so first up - LOVE.
