Florida State is embarking on the 10-year anniversary of its 2013 championship season. To get going on reliving that season, Noles247 sits down with former FSU star safety Terrence Brooks to go over his favorite memories from that special year.

Brooks – who was a two-year starter for FSU, including an All-ACC performance in 2013 – ended up enjoying an eight-year career in the NFL. He was part of that special 2010 recruiting class, the first under Jimbo Fisher as a head coach, and was a key part of forming an utterly dominant defense.

In his sit-down with On The Bench, Brooks reveals why he had a special disdain for Florida and shares that he actually played the entire second half of the 2013 championship game vs. Auburn with a concussion (and the play he suffered the concussion on ended up being a turning point for him in that game).

A football roster is ever changing. The pieces on a roster for a season might appear to stay the same, but the needs and options to fill said needs are constantly being evaluated.

That makes the job Darrick Yray holds, as Florida State's general manager, an integral one. From researching trends across athletics, to pouring through film, to self evaluating, Yray and the rest of FSU's front office have taken a meticulous approach in helping the roster get to the point where the Seminoles are expected to be back in the mix atop the ACC in 2023.
