Is Jordan Travis a Top 25 QB nationally? The fellas at X's and Noles debate this topic, with the honorable Judge Trey presiding over the case. Kev takes the point of Travis being a talented and underrated QB without much help around him, while Coach AB voices concerns about availability and Travis taking too much time to deliver the ball.
Who makes the better case?
Judge Trey decides in Noles247 Court.
Keldric Faulk was down to four schools, including Florida State. But his decision was kept well under wraps, with his mom not even knowing what the four-star defensive end was going to do a day before his announcement.
On The Benchers Brendan Sonnone and Dane Draper drove to Highland Home, an unincorporated community in rural Alabama, with the hopes of covering an FSU commitment.
Would that gamble pay off?
Yes, you already know that Faulk picked FSU over Auburn, Florida, and Clemson.
But the end of the journey isn't the focus of this episode. Rather, it's the journey and the exploration of the unknown.
Baw gawd, that’s Trey Rowland’s theme music!!! The Noles247 staff got stronger today as we formally announce the addition of Trey Rowland.
Florida State fans will know Trey from his work on the Rowlcast – his podcast in which he combined a unique blend of insight/passion/hijinx to go along with natural interview skills to create one of the most recognizable shows in the FSU market – as well as the Triple Option, the X’s and O’s breakdown show with Noles247’s Kevin Little and Adam Brown.
Trey is bringing his energy and skill set as a host to help build the On The Bench podcast, assist with video projects along with Kev and AB, and to build more content as Noles247 expands its footprint.
Join us in welcoming Trey to the team!

FSU's passing game hasn't worked out well in two years under Mike Norvell, a bit of a surprise given the offenses he produced at Memphis.
Why haven't things taken off in two seasons at FSU and is this the season the 'Noles get back on track through the air? The fellas at X's and Noles break down the passing game in-depth in this episode.
But first, a quick preview of the Official Visit weekend at FSU and what the addition of Jazston Turnetine means for the OL.
Jeff Culhane goes back to an interview with Gene Deckerhoff that he conducted 10 years ago at a radio station in Nebraska. Deckerhoff’s stories about Florida State coach Bobby Bowden still stick with Culhane, reminding him that the FSU platform provides the chance to impact people at a rare level.
“I always knew that I wanted the opportunity to be a play-by-play announcer at a place where it mattered, where people cared, and the games and the stories, and the players and the coaches, where it was all instilled and injected into your DNA,” Culhane told Noles247’s On The Bench. “There aren’t many places where you can say that. Florida State is one of those.”
Culhane sits down with OTB to recall that conversation with Deckerhoff, what it’ll be like following a broadcasting legend, his process of landing the FSU job, his broadcasting style, and more.

Florida State fended off Arkansas and Virginia Tech to land a late addition to the 2022 class in DT Ayobami Tifase.
On The Bench breaks out an emergency pod to go over the big-time get. Chris Nee describes Tifase as a monstrous prospect in the trenches, Zach Blostein recaps the whirlwind of a recruitment, and Brendan Sonnone shamelessly stumps for a walk-on to be added to the 2022 class retroactively.
Plus we get into some additional trench notes in this episode.
Florida State had an eventful weekend on the recruiting trail, hosting six official visitors while also getting a pair of under-the-radar commitments.
On The Bench recaps the weekend and provides the latest intel, with Dane Draper making his OTB debut. Plus, an update on iOL recruit Antavious Woody.
