1) What should you do on shabbos to get to 100 brachos when you lose out on over 30 Brachos because of short שמונה עשרי?🕯️🕯️ 🍷

-You should be עוסק in עונג שבת and eat more to make up the Brachos 🥩🌭

2) The time for the 100 brachos starts at the nighttime of the night before 🌃

1) Its a full-on obligation to say 100 brachos a day 💯

-the reason for this halacha is because during the times of דוד המלך 👑, a hundred people were dying ☠️ per day. So, דוד re-instituted this תקנה (originally introduced by Moshe alluded to in the Torah) to stop the plague

-counting your brachas make you G-d conscious during the day 💭

2) On a regular day, you basically fulfill your חיוב of 100 brachos:

-57 from Shmoneh Esrei (19 brachos 3 times) 🥇🥈🥉

-7 from Birchos Kriyas Shema (4 at night, 3 in the morning) 🫱🏻

-about 20 from ברכות השחר 🌞

-Also a couple daily from אשר יצר 🚽

-And, you fill in the rest with food 🍎🍕

1) Your תפילין של ראש goes just above your hairline 👱🏻

-CANNOT touch your forehead at all 👨🏻‍🦲

2) Important to look out for your friends to make sure that their תפילין is in the right place 👬🏻👬🏻

1) Place your תפילין on the middle point of the bicep 💪🏻

-AKA the halfway point between the armpit and the elbow🙆‍♂️

-If its touching before or past there, most poskim say you didn’t fulfill your חיוב 👎🏻

1) A person should come to shul wearing his תפילין 👑

-Ideally, you should put your תפילין on at home first 🏠

-But, the practical מנהג nowadays is to put on your תפילין outside the main sanctuary itself 🕍

2) At a minimum, you must have your תפילין on for Shema and Shmoneh Esrei 🫱🏻

-But, don’t miss the zman of קריאת שמע to get your תפילין on ⏱️

1) Ashkenazim say “על מצות ציצית” on a tallis katan 💬

-if one wears a tallis gadol and tallis katan, you only make one bracha- the bracha on the tallis gadol- and have in mind that that fulfills your חיוב for both🤯🧠

2) Before putting on a pair of ציצית, you should make sure that its a pair of kosher tzitzis 👓

-separate out the strings before making the bracha 🖐🏻

-make the bracha after washing נטילת ידיים 💧

1) If you stay up the entire night, 🌙🌅 you should have someone say ברכות התורה for you with the kavana to be מוציא you and you should have intent to be יוצא with him 🤝🧏‍♂️

-If you can’t find someone to say ברכות התורה for you, then have the intention to be יוצא during אהבה רבה ❤️

2) 💤However, if napped during previous day a שינת קבע, 🛌combined with staying up all night, you can make ברכת התורה in morning

*Three main condition that define a שינת קבע vs a שינת עראי:*

1) you change into pajamas 🥼

2) you go into bed 🛏️

3) you sleep at least 30 minutes 🕡

-If your missing any of these, its a שינת עראי (temporary nap) 💤 🤏 UNLESS this is your only option to sleep the night, like on an airplane ✈️

-If you take a שינת קבע (set sleep), after the sun sets, you have demonstrated that your day is halachically over and when you wake up need new bracha

1) One ברכות התורה works for the entire day because a Jew is constantly living Torah and thinking about Torah 🧬

2) So what if you take a nap? 🥱

-A quick nap is definitely not enough of an interruption to need a new ברכות התורה 🏃‍♂️

-Also מנהג העולם is NOT to make a new bracha after a long nap 😴

3) In regards to ברכות התורה, the night is NOT considered a new Halachic day so no new bracha before learning at night ❌🌅

1) If a person didn’t make ברכות התורה before davening, you could have kavana to fill your חיוב during the bracha of אהבה רבה before שמע ❤️📖

-However, immediately after Tefillah, you must learn Torah 👇🏻

2) One bracha works for the entire day because a Jew naturally always wants to learn every moment that he can, so he is never מסיח דעת from his original bracha (exceptions in the next Halacha) 🌅 ➡️ 😴
