  • A Bride With A Special Type Of Glow {Carryn + Paul}
    We’re positively excited about todays destination wedding pictures sent over by the lovely Chris Prestidge of atdusk photography.
    The sweet couple, Carryn and Paul, were married on the 9th of February 2010 at Surin Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The breathtaking bride was pregnant on her wedding day and wore a chic Wendy Makin gown from Marry Me Bridal. Carryn explains her choice, "I was 6 months pregnant on my wedding day so I wanted a gown that was comfortable, cool, and elegant. I ended up choosing a strapless, Grecian style gown with an empire waist that was just perfect for the beach setting."
    The wedding ceremony was held on the sand at Pla Resturant and a pretty aisle was created out of scattered white orchids and white rose petals, which led to an insanely pretty bamboo arch with white orchid walls. The reception decor and colour palette was kept equally pretty, Carryn explains how this was achieved. "The reception was held at the same spot on the beach [and] we had 2 long tables under a bamboo structure with white draped fabric and ball lighting. The theme of white roses and orchids was carried through to the table centerpieces, which also featured delicate seashells.”
    Carryn was kind enough to share a few more details with us, which you'll find after her stunning wedding pictures.
    What made your wedding unique? "We had approximately 60 friends attend from all over the world; it was wonderful to have everyone in one place. Most people stayed for at least a week so it we had plenty of time to socialise and relax."
    Did you DIY any details? "No - We loved that it was so easy! Having a wedding planner made the process very simple. The whole wedding was planned over the internet and we were left with only a few things to organise ourselves – which suited us perfectly as Paul and I fell pregnant during the planning phase so we had other things to think about!"
    Your favorite moment? "One of the best and most personal moments during the wedding was when the celebrant read out a list of things that we loved about each other. Paul and I had both written our lists in secret so it was so special to hear what each of us had selected – it had the both of us in tears!
    [Also] the lighting of the Thai lanterns – it was so beautiful to see everyone letting off their lanterns into the sky… it looked like we made our own constellation of stars."
    Your advice? "Having a wedding planner was the best decision we ever made, particularly given our wedding was being held overseas. She made the process so stress-free and enjoyable for the both of us, which is exactly what a wedding should be!"
    Congratulations and best wishes to Carryn {the most stunning pregnant bride ever}, Paul, and the new addition.

    Bethany and Steve were married on the 21st of August 2010 in Missouri. Their reception venue of choice was Berg Event Space, which has an amazing historic loft space and was actually a former Kansas City auto dealership.
    The combination of the loft space, the rustic décor, the DIY elements, vintage details, the bright colours, and the stunning bride and groom made for a heavenly mix.

  • Urban Cowboys {Erika + Malcolm}
    I’m 100% in love with these amazing wedding photos, captured by Jamie Delaine Photography.
    The cheery couple, Erika and Malcolm, are self-proclaimed ‘urban cowboys’ that knew exactly where they wanted to have their wedding. They decided on the Bird’s Eye Cove Farm, located on Vancouver Island. The story behind the choice is adorable.
    The Bird’s Eye Cove Farm is a sprawling three hundred acre property, which is owned by Erika’s close friend and maid of honour, Sara. Growing up, Erika spent her summers visiting Sara at the farm.
    A few summers had passed since Erika had visited the farm, but she returned to celebrate Sara’s college graduation. This is when she met Malcolm, a long-time friend of Sara.
    After the celebration, Erika returned home to Manitoba and Malcolm remained on Vancouver Island. The adorable pair stayed in touch and a year later Erika moved to Vancouver Island and the pair started officially dating, they feel in love, got engaged, and six summers after their first meeting they got married.
    Erica and Malcolm were married on the 14th of August 2010. Congratulations Erika and Malcolm and thank you Jamie Delaine Photography for sharing these deliciously good wedding photos.

  • Elora Centre For The Arts {Rebecca + Benoit}
    We seem to have a little soft spot for vintage weddings, so we were super thrilled when Renaissance Studios Photography sent over Rebecca and Benoit’s modern vintage wedding.
    Rebecca and Benoit were married in an intimate vintage wedding at the Elora Centre for the Arts, in Ontario. The venue is best described as a retro-fitted gallery in an old school house!
    We love the colour scheme of this wedding, which was cherry red and tiffany blue. We also can't get enough of the bride's stylish tea length wedding dress and pouf veil. *heavenly combo*
    Rebecca and Beniot’s wedding photos are chic, ooze glamour, and make for perfect eye candy on a hectic Monday afternoon.

  • Cardinia Culture Centre {Alis & Adrian}
    We're smitten with these pretty Australian wedding photos captured by Mary-Jane Photography & Design.
    This stunning wedding was all about purple and green accents and a couple called Alis and Adrian.
    Alis and Adrian were married at the First Romanian Bapatist Church, followed by a reception at Cardinia Culture Centre in Victoria, Australia.
    The stunning bride was kind enough to share a few details with us, which you’ll find after the jump.
    From the Bride, "Our nephews wore cute little grey pants and vests and our nieces were dressed as little fairies with purple tutu’s and together sang “This is the day that the Lord has made” at our ceremony. Being the favorite aunty & uncle this was very special to us. We didn’t have a bridal party, instead we hired a 14 seater limo and an extra car for some of our close friends and family to join in the photo-fun of the day. It was a fun day all together. We also requested that the girls wear either purple or green dresses of their choice {as this was the brides color theme} and that the boys wore black suits.
    We both were from big Romanian families and communities, not to mention we both lived in two different cities {Adrian from Brisbane & Alis from Melbourne}. So it was difficult to please everyone and incorporate certain traditions. Cabbage rolls are a popular Romanian food and the Brides mother and aunties all got together to make them for the reception as well as an extravagant amount of Romanian cakes.
    Our reception looked quite bare as it was all white with very high ceilings so we bought white paper lanterns to hang randomly from the lights and bought tall green orchids and grass for the vases. At the bottom of the vases we bought clear gel balls and green LED lights which gave the reception a nice atmosphere."
    The brides advice, "Delegate jobs for the wedding day so you don’t have to stress or worry. Enjoy your day and take time to include friends and family that matter to you both."
    Congratulations Alis and Adrian and thank you for sharing your wedding photos.

  • Laguna Gloria {Bethany + Joe} Part II
    When it came down to the wedding styling and details, Bethany and Joe had it covered. They chose a clean white palette, which just worked amazing with the sprinkles of colour that they incorporated. We la la love it.
    The bridesmaids bouquets were all in the same hue as the brides, but made from different flowers.
    Bethany attached this charming pendant to her bouquet, which belonged to her grandmother.
    A beautiful moment was captured when the grooms best friend {who was unable to attend because he was serving his country overseas} surprised the bride and groom with a heartfelt video he filmed.
    The impressive five tier wedding cake, which was made by Michelle’s Patisserie.
    Guests were treated to irresistible ice cream floats.
    Photobooth - Bethany’s mum created the eclectic backdrop.
    Congratulations Bethany and Joe and thank you for sharing your superb wedding pictures.
