In a matter of 6 months, Max Greb @maxthemeatguy has become a social media sensation grabbing the attention of millions with his super creative cooking videos usually focused on meat. I spoke with Max on ONE TAKE WITH JESS where I really got to know "the man behind the meat". I learned about his family, his stay in China, his career in finance, and his passion for cooking. His "meat cake" caught the attention of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and from that moment on Max seems to be on Gorgon's radar as he as reviewed a number of Max's videos since. Keep an eye on this one folks because Max is going to continue to shine. He is humble and talented. Follow Max @maxthemeatguy on all social media. And don't forget to get cooking yourself. I know I'm going to be making a nice yummy steak tonight!! :-)

The CRC is a dedicated recovery community that reinforces healthy and sustainable habits of mind, body, and spirit. According to Dr. Whitney "The students in recovery in this program have made the decision to desist entirely from the use of alcohol and other drugs and are committed to a program of action that will maximize their chances of achieving long-term recovery while meeting their educational (and other life) goals. Some of our students live in ROAR House, our dedicated on-campus recovery housing. The Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community embodies everything that is great about Penn State: Excellence, support for one's fellow students, service to the community, and strong alumni support. Come see for yourself this powerful and highly personalized program and the success that students regularly find within our tight-knit community."

Steve and Jess chat about puppies, pot, pilates, painting, and professional life out in beautiful Colorado. This is Steve's second time on the podcast (episode 5 was the first). He has worked with top celebrities and the biggest brands throughout his agency career and was VAYNER Media's first Chief Creative Officer. He left VAYNER in 2019 to start "Made In-House" and teach businesses how to thrive using their own in-house capabilities saving money and time ... "Give a brand a fish, and you feed it for a day. Teach a brand to fish, and you feed it for a lifetime." True True! The pandemic has allowed him to dive deeper into his artistic woodworking side creating very cool pieces of furniture and wall art out of Home Depot materials. He has also become an integral part of his wife's fitness business producing her videos and growing her social media presence. We chat about The Green Mile which refers to Denver's marijuana/cannabis dispensaries and how recreational use of pot has effected the area since it was approved over 6 years ago in Colorado. Always a fun conversation with Steve!

He then pursued a career as a real estate developer in NYC and has been wowing the city for over 25 years. Today, he continues to make his mark on the greatest city in the world. LaToya Allen, Vice President / Branch Manager at a big Bank, migrated from Jamaica to the United States 17 years ago and started working as a teller for the bank while taking college courses at the same time. Her company's tuition reimbursement benefit actually funded much of her college education. We talked about the student debt, getting into the work force early, being a good manager, being a good parent, empowering others, helping people grow, staying on your own path, mentors, challenges, and new Financial Literacy workshops.
Her tips apply to being a good manager and to LIFE in general. 'Inspect what you expect.' Understanding a 'skill' issue vs. a 'will' issue which tells you if you need to coach 'up' or coach 'out'. "Every setback is a setup for a comeback!"
Stay tuned to our new and exciting collaboration ... 5 WORKSHOPS on different aspects of FINANCIAL LITERACY!

Jim DeBetta, of WeKnowInventing, is a world-renowned invention/product expert, best-selling author, and 'the guy' that many inventors hope to work with when taking an idea from napkin sketch to big box shelves. He is a former executive of Shark Tank's Kevin Harrington. Jim is very reputable in the industry amongst retail buyers but most importantly, he is VERY candid with his inventor clients about the pitfalls of this business setting realistic exceptions for overzealous inventors, educating and guiding them with a proper gameplan. Our conversation was full of important information that ALL INVENTORS should hear. I (Jess) am an inventor myself (THE THROWBEE) and have gone through many trials and tribulations to eventually make my product successful. Lots of ups and downs. This podcast is a must-listen for Inventors.
