One of the most powerful ways to find joy in the Lord is through prayer and worship. The Bible instructs us to "Rejoice in the Lord." As we praise God in worship our hearts are filled with joy. As you worship God, ask God to fill you with His Spirit.

It's time to get your JOY back! This week's podcast is a little different. I just wanted to pour into your soul and pray for you. I am speaking directly to the heart of the believer that it's TIME TO GET YOUR JOY BACK.

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in Greek: 5463 xaírō (favorably disposed, leaning towards"– literally, to experience God's grace (favor), be conscious (glad) for His grace.

Romans 15:13

Joy in Greek: Cognate: 5479 xará: extend favor, lean towards, be favorably disposed, awareness of God's grace, favor; joy; it is grace recognized.

Hope in Greek: elpís expectation of something sure (certain); hope.

For believers, 1680/elpís hope, an active expectation always from God about what He has spoken, it is not mere human optimism ("wishful thinking").

Galatians 5:22-23, John 16:24, Psalm 16:11

Joy in Hebrew: 8057 śimḥâ – to flourish within with inner triumph supplied by the Lord – a mood-oriented term based on inner awareness of the Lord's victory.

Romans 14:17, 1 Peter 1:8

Rejoice in Greek: agalliáō hállomai: glad enough to jump in celebration; to exult (boast) because so experientially joyful.

21/agalliaō ("exuberantly rejoice") means to "bubble over with uncontainable joy" – with "intensive joy and gladness"

Nehemiah 8:10

The joy of the Lord is my strength!

JOY in Hebrew: 2304 ḥed̠wâ to rejoice with a personal sense of victory

I AM FILLED WITH THE POWER TO LIVE A VICTORIOUS LIFE!

Strength in Hebrew: māʽôz – near-and-ready stronghold, the place of immediate and sufficient shelter – see Ju 6:26; Ps 27:1, 28:8; Is 17:10; Ezek 24:25; Dan 11:1; seek or take immediate (hasty!) refuge. It means the joy of the Lord is ENOUGH!

Jeremiah 15:16

Joy in Hebrew: 8342 śāśôn exultation, rejoicing; glad with abounding delight focusing on its basis cause, THE WORDS OF THE LORD!

Psalm 16:8-9

Glad in Hebrew: (SN 8055) śāmaḥ –, flourish within with inner triumph supplied by the Lord – a mood-oriented term based on inner awareness of the Lord's victory; a flourishing within, because perceiving one is in superior position; inwardly celebrative "as the Holy Spirit rejoices within"

Rejoice in Hebrew: (SN 1523) gîl – properly, to circle around – the root of the popular Jewish song Hāva nāgîlâ ("Come, let's dance in a circle"); (figuratively) so excited by good news one breaks out in dance – expressing joy with jubilant, vigorous movement; rejoicing, outwardly demonstrated – great gladness which makes one whirl about.

Donna shares her story of grief where she walked through a season of death and grief. But then the Lord showed up in the valley of the shadow of death.

Matthew 6:13 is where it all began for Donna on 6-5-23. She was reading in the book of Matthew….the God showed her this…..

"And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one"

She noticed that grief was becoming her identity and she was tempted to fall back into something she was never suppose "live in". Grief is meant for us to "pass through" not "dwell in".

Donna said she felt God speak deep into her spirit, "it's time to get your JOY back!"

Then the next day it continued with Psalm 51

"……..Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love.

Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins.

Wash me clean from my guilt……..wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me

now let me rejoice……….Restore to me the joy of your salvation…."

Donna was tempted to go back to Grief, Guilt, because it was all so familiar. Then she noticed at the end of the words "familiar" is LIAR! The LIAR was stealing the joy of her salvation.

Immediately she felt the Holy Spirit come on her and she became free and the process of healing was ushering in the spirit of JOY! "I have joy back in my life again after a long period of time!!!

Praise came back into my lungs after guilt kept my lips sealed", says Donna

Donna said that grief ushered in guilt because she was not able to save and fix the pain…it caused much anxiety and she realized it was cutting her very breath off!!!

Grief when looked up affects your lungs!!!

It's causes poison to set in and you can't live when poison is silently killing you!!!

Chris and Dot Hall shares the story of how Chris bought a plane and how the engine died and caused a crash. When the plane crashed it caught fire and Chris found himself walking through the fire.

Chris has been married to Dot Hall for almost 38 years. They have two sons and daughter in loves, seven grandchildren! They have lived in Naples Fl 9 years, however they raised their children in Brownwood ,TX. They have served in nearly all aspects of local church 30+ years. Chris and Dot stand on the word when it says, Isaiah 54:17 NKJV "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

He has stood on this scripture his whole christian walk. His wife, (his favorite person) Dot Hall gives her side of the story of the plane crash as she saw the man she loves suffer from the burns, however, you've got to hear the MIRACLE that happened as she played worship music in ICU! She spoked and declared the Word of God over him….NO WEAPON FORMED WILL PROSPER……She worshipped, trusted, and believed, and she saw a miracle.

Patience: (makrothymia) is a spiritual blend of: restraining human anger and showing the passion of the Lord, i.e. patience that is regulated by God (waits for His timing). This includes expressing the Lord's indignation (opposition to what He disapproves).

Instruction: didaxē ("to teach") – established teaching, especially a "summarized" body of respected teaching (viewed as reliable, time-honored).

mýthos – a myth; a false account which poses to be the truth; a fabrication (fable) to subvert (replace) what is actually true.

Janet talks about the words that God has spoken over you and to not forget because God is not slow concerning His promises.

2 Peter 3:1-3. (NASB)

3 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere MIND by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the WORDS spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles.

We are what we think! For this reason, Peter was writing to stir up the sincere mind so they would remember the words that had been prophesied over them previously. He was causing them to THINK about what they THINK on, Say and Do!

In this week's podcast, I want to stir you up to think about the promise and to BELIEVE AGAIN. Don't let the enemy take hold of what is going on in your mind. But let your mind be renewed by the Word of God!

God has a Rhema Word for you and He wants you to believe Him again. He is not slow concerning His promises toward you! Be encouraged by this week's word!

Have you ever been in "survival mode"? I certainly have! I actually backtracked my life to 2018 when my son for the first time stared into the face of death, and we were right there with him, fighting, and surviving. Barely getting by, barely hanging on, barely making it to church each week, barely getting a word from God, barley getting enough sleep, barely paying our bills, etc and the list goes on and on. It was a "barely" season. I was surviving! It was a wilderness! It was dry! Many times I cried out to God, "where are you?"

Have you ever cried out to God like this? However, through the years Jeremiah 31 has been a WORD I have stood on. I want to encourage to go back and read it. There is LIFE in it!

First, let's take a look at what "survive" and "thrive" even mean!

Survive: to remain alive after the death of someone, or the occurrence of some event; continue to live: to remain or continue in existence or use:Thrive: to prosper; be fortunate or successful; to grow or develop vigorously; flourish:

Please go read all of Jeremiah 31 because in these verses the Lord is painting a picture for us what it looks like to THRIVE and what it's going to feel like.

He said that we would FEEL JOY again. God will build up the ruins and rebuild all that has been destroyed or devastated.

The manifestations of JOY is laughter, not tears, dancing, not weeping, and a "coming together", not separation.

The promise is:

• You will arise
• You will experience the presence of God
• You will SING…… A new song
• You will SHOUT…….to the nations
• You will PROCLAIM…….with a loud voice the God who SAVES is here
• You will PRAISE….
• You will experience the bounty of God, the goodness of God in the heights of HIS presence.
• Your soul will be satisfied
• You will not grieve any longer over what has been lost because of the Presence of God
• You will rejoice with a dance
• God will turn your mourning into dancing
• God will comfort you from all your loss
• You will rejoice instead of deep piercing grief
• God will fill you up! You will be satiated, saturated to the maximum experience, filled to overflow. You will be satisfied with God's goodness!

I want to end with this saying that the bridge that connects surviving to thriving is PRAISE. Not just any praise, but an intentional praise. Having a heart of gratitude and giving God the highest praise of HALLELUJAH!

GOD is showing up in your pain, loss, discomfort, wailing, mourning and grief.

His promise is:

• Your tears will refrain from weeping
• Your eyes will no longer bitterly lament
• Your work will be rewarded
• God will redeem all that's been lost
• There is a hope for your future
• Your children will come back home (to God)

This is a perfect picture painted for us of what it looks like to go from surviving to thriving!

God will ……….Build you

God will ……….Rebuild you

God will ……….Be kind to you

God will ………. Love on you

God will ………..Forgive you

God will ………. Restore you

God will ………. Redeem you

God will ………. Heal you

God will ………. Give you hope

God will ………. Give you a future

God will ………. Bless you

God will ………. Turn his face toward you

God will ………. Dry your eyes from tears

God will ……….Gather your family and the Church

God will ……….Deliver you from what is stronger than you

God will ……….Recompense you

This is His WORD! Will you BELIEVE IT?

Beba talks about the how God showed her complete freedom by forgiveness that led to God turning the ashes of her life into something beautiful.

You guys!! I just love this lady, BEBA! You are going to hear a powerful story on forgiveness and letting go of church hurt.

Beba found herself going from childhood hurt and disappointed by her father to being hurt and controlled by a spiritual father in the church. Church hurt is some of the hardest pain to get healed from because they use the word against them. But just listen to how God healed Beba!!

Dominique is a part of Grow Church, where I am now currently working. I heard he wrote a book called Kings and Queens, where he mentions the life of Gideon.
