Internet gaming is particularly popular among young people. Despite its recreational and entertainment aspects, a minority of individuals engage excessively experiencing problems in their education, employment and relationships with others. These gaming related difficulties have prompted the American Psychiatric Association (2013) and the World Health Organization (2019) to propose independent diagnostic classifications, to describe this emerging condition. Our webinar will explore issues related to disordered gaming presentation, assessment and treatment integrating contemporary research and clinical practice evidence.
