  • Season 3.12 - Bobby Charlton Tribute, Could You Diffuse a Bomb and Should Celebrities be Role Models?

The clocks go back this weekend, so we all get an extra hours sleep…or lose an hours sleep? Actually, who cares? I can never tell, and let’s be honest, the only time most of ever cared was when we were in a nightclub and got an extra hour to drink watered down beer and be turned down by every single woman we spoke to. Or maybe that was just Logan…

Anyway, as the nights get darker earlier, this is the perfect time to draw the curtains and enjoy a drink with the OSD boys in the comfort of a warm room. Or car. Or caravan. Or even shed - we’re not judging.

We kick off this week with a tribute to late, great Bobby Charlton, a legendary player and a wonderful and humble man.

Johnny takes us through some more TYO’s, including telling us what the strongest muscle in the body is.

Robbo then takes us through this weeks Bits of Space, and talks us through the difference between a meteor, a meteorite and meteoroid – it’s confusing but interesting stuff.

Then we get to the MAN QUESTION, and this week Logan wants to know if the chaps can diffuse a bomb. Their original answers are put to the test when Logan throws several curveballs, including one which he clearly hasn’t thought through and it throws the entire segment in fits of giggles whilst Logan tries to explain that no, really, honestly, it’s not as bad as it sounds.

The main subject this week spins out of our conversation about football being toxic, as we talk about whether celebrities should be role models. Are they role models, for a start? And if so, should they be, or should we, as a society be responsible for the standards we set, rather than abdicating responsibility to people who exist for nearly all of us as people we don’t actually know and will never meet? Robbo and Johnny come at it from different angles, and it makes things interesting.

Finally, it’s into bollocks or not, and Robbo desperately needs a win this week as he’s 4-2 down and time is running out for him to make a comeback this season. The tension is mounting!

Sit back and enjoy time with the chaps at OSD – the only podcast that makes you feel like you’re actually there.

  • Season 3.11 - How do you cook your steak, has football become too toxic and movie themed trivia

It’s another OSD, and this week Robbo goes rogue right from the off!

He encroaches on Logan’s “how are you chaps” territory, picking up that verbal ball and running with it as fast as he can…and he nails it! In fact, he nails it to such an extent that the decision is made to let Robbo continue running with it from now on.

It feels a bit weird that for the first time in weeks, we’ve just got the 3 chaps chatting their usual mix of erudite nonsense and eclectic humour, but somehow they manage to power through.

Johnny has a bumper edition of TYO for us, hitting us with more fascinating newly discovered facts and hacks than usual.

Robbo follows up with his new segment, Bits of Space, in which he takes a burning space question and answers it in an easy to understand and enjoy way. Yep, finally, Robbo gets to use his passion for good instead of evil.

Along the way, we talk about how steak should be cooked and the perils of undercooking rib eye.

Then it’s on to our main subject – has football become too toxic? From Logan’s glory hunting to Johnny’s love of lower league football and Robbo questioning why football can’t be more like rugby, OSD Towers is abuzz with chat around whether social media and money have created a toxic monster that’s removing the fun from the beautiful game.

Finally, we’re into Bollocks or Not – Johnny leads 3-2, can he extend that lead or will Robbo chase him down? In a special movie themed edition, we ask questions such as is Eddie Murphy really called Eddie Murphy? How many times was the F-Bomb used in Wolf of Wall Street? And more!

It’s getting colder and wetter outside, perfect weather to pour a drink, sit back and treat your ears to the OSD chaps.

  • Season 3.10 - AI gone wild, the Roman Empire, Abi on Russell Brand, crazy coincidences and a crazy cocktail

It’s another OSD, and as usual, we’re bringing a mix of fun, trivia, unpredictability and slightly drunk chat that only this podcast can provide.

Scott and Abi are with us, and we start with Logan joyfully telling us all what titles the AI suggested we call the previous music debate episode – and they all feature Scott, front and centre. Is Scott actually the AI in disguise?

Johnny hits us with his usual blend of fact and enlightenment with TYO, and Robbo then talks us through the latest developments in President Trump's fraud case - and the massive $3.6 billion damages judgment that might ensue.

And if that doesn't pique your interest, how about a unique cocktail that's making waves in London having been a big hit in Spain for years. It’s a fusion of red wine and Coca-Cola...yes, you heard that right. The gang all give it a try, tasting it for the first time live on the show…will it be a hit or not? The reactions are priceless.

Abi gives her opinion on the Russell Brand situation, and she’s not holding back – at all!

The gang discuss two hot topics that seem to be occupying the world of social media a lot lately; how often do you think about the Roman Empire and could you land a plane? As you might expect, the answers are NOT what you’d expect, and will have you laughing out loud even as you shake your head in despair.

We then traverse the intriguing world of coincidences – Logan talks us through some of the most fascinating and at times downright spooky documented cases of coincidence in history, as the gang add their thoughts. What IS a coincidence? A random event over which we have no agency, or a sign that destiny and fate exist, or is it just the human brain working in mysterious ways? Is déjà vu real? Is the universe just a complex but arbitrary mess or is it too neat, makes too much sense, suggesting a guiding hand behind it all?

Finally, we bring things home with another instalment of Bollocks or Not. It’s 2-2 so far, who’s going to win the episode and take the lead as the season finale starts to come into view?

Pour a drink – a cup of tea is fine – and sit down and enjoy your usual Friday aural treat.

OSD – it’s like you’re in the room.

Apologies for some sound issues in this episode. The sound engineer has been sent to his room to think about what he's done for a few days.

  • Season 3.9 - From 60s Vibrance to 90s Eclecticism: Which musical decade was best?

Unleash the nostalgic power of music with us here at OSD Towers, as friends of the show John Bishop and Patch join Robbo, Johnny, Logan and Scott for a bumper edition of the best podcast recorded in our house that day.

We turn back the hands of time to debate which decade of music was the greatest, as each of our guests take their turn presenting their case why their chosen era is best.

From the vibrant 60s, through to the eclectic 90s. Revel in fascinating tales as we delve into the influence of these decades on music, the explosion of new sounds, and the longevity of bands such as The Rolling Stones.

Patch kicks things off and makes an argument for the 60's being where all modern music started, and for everything that we listen to now not existing if it wasn't for then.

We traverse the freewheeling 70's with Robbo as he talks passionately about how that decade expanded and improved on what came before, and then crash into the radical 80s where we hit a crossover of styles and the advent of technology that John states saw music reach a zenith.

Throughout, the gang's vivid recollections of icons like Stevie Wonder and Jimi Hendrix, a handy tip for remembering lyrics, and even the adrenaline rush of a first holiday sans parents all manage to make an appearance.

And then it's time to hit the 90s, with Johnny's take on Britpop bands like Oasis, their music, global reach and the intense competition of the time means that his chosen decade reached heights that no other one has ever reached.

So tune in for a mix of nostalgia, music appreciation, hearty laughter, and a healthy dose of camaraderie.

  • Season 3.8 - From Banter to Russell Brand: A Journey Through Hair Care, Controversies, the Cosmos and Only Fools and Horses

Get ready for a wild ride through an array of topics, from the intimate to the astronomical, and even the controversial. With a promise of laughter and learning, your hosts Robbo, Johnny and Logan take you on a unpdrecitable but amusing journey.

From insights into Johnny's hair care regime and Robbo's new voiceover career, to our sad story of the fallen necklace beads, it's a fun-filled first portion.

The episode takes a slightly more serious turn as we lend our voices to some current affairs.  We discuss the controversy surrounding Rep. Lauren Boebert, in a conversation that sheds light on the double standards of behavior for politicians and the power dynamics in play.

We talk about Russell Brand - NOT whether he's guilty or not, time will tell about that, and no doubt we will have plenty to say as time goes on - but we explore why people have been so quick to take sides, even at this stage of limited information, and the difficulties of ensuring a fair trial amidst the whirlwind of public opinion, particularly when it's fueled by social media.

We also confront the daunting issue of sexual assault, the courage it takes to report it, and societal attitudes towards it. We reflect on the impact of fame on people's willingness to come forward and seek justice, a topic that's all the more pertinent in the wake of high-profile cases in the entertainment industry.

Finally, it's Bollocks or Not and this week, both Johnny and Robbo get to chose their "Home" subject and "Away", subject. Both of them have to answer questions on each others Home subject as well as their own.

It's Only Fools and Horses for Johnny as he and Robbo have to decide whether we ever know Trigger's real name, did John Sullivan actually appear in an episode, and what was the name of the watch that made the Trotters millionaires?

Then we journey to the stars, exploring the fascinating realm of space and astronomy as per Robbo's home choice. We challenge Johnny and Robbo with trivia about our solar system, discovering facts about planets and their orbits. Learn about the lemon-shaped moon, the peculiar smell of the Milky Way, and the theory of white holes.

It's an episode that brings together a blend of fun, serious discussion, the joys of Hooky Street and cosmic exploration. Whether you're looking for light-hearted banter, thoughtful discussions on societal issues, or a trip through the cosmos, we've got it all.

  • Season 3.7 - Premier League Preview and "Robbo, I've never known anyone laugh as much at their own jokes as much as you do..."

This week, we're talking all things football, with a Premier League season preview.

Regular guest host Scott joins us once again, and so does Abi, who stuns and horrifies us all by actually knowing a fair bit about the game...shame she's a Watford fan, really.

We've got top four predictions, which team we think will surprise by struggling, which new signing or transferred player we're all looking forward to seeing, and a running theme in which everyone hates Man Utd because Logan supports them.

There are some microphone issues, but nothing too serious and we're sure nothing that will detract from your enjoyment.

Pour a glass, relax, enjoy and join the gang in getting Only Slightly Drunk.

  • Season 3.6 - Life after Death, Games and "I feel like Gordon the Gopher with Phillip Schofield"

This was recorded a few weeks back, but Logan's complete inability to be even slightly competent meant it's only just been saved from the abyss and published.

The small but perfectly formed Scott Parkes is back, and hits us with his usual selection of brilliant one liners and demands for things to be edited out seconds after he's said them.

We start by talking about proposed changes to the Oscars eligibility rules, and Johnny has some insider knowledge to share.

Logan then gets his feet held to the fire over the proposed Qatari takeover of Manchester United, and it's fun to hear him squirm and try to avoid giving a direct answer.

Robbo is in his nerdy element as we play two new games, "Stat or Twat?" and "Guess the celebrity from their real name"

And the main topic is a brief discussion about life after death. What happens when we die? And is there something after - maybe reincarnation?

Scott wants to come back as a beaver. Yes, you read that right. Mind you, he later says he meant otter. Before switching to weasel. So we don't think he knows what he wants, quite frankly.

Pour a drink - tea is acceptable - and see in the weekend with the the OSD lads!

  • Season 3.5 - Listeners Questions and "I give it a year before it's just the two of you"

    Here we go again!

Fun fact - this was supposed to be our first ever OSD on camera, but technical hiccups meant it didn't actually record. Which is a shame, because Johnny's hair was ON POINT, BABY!

    (Logan's wasn't)

Jodie joins us at OSD towers again to watch and cringe, and this time Abi comes along, and if you listen carefully, you can hear her laughing at all the bits she's not supposed to laugh at, and none of Logan's jokes. Thanks. For. That.

Johnny hits us with some more "Today's Years Old", including good advice about banana's.

Robbo gives us another update on Trump, and Johnny can't resist making mischief about it.

Then we've got the first ever listener's questions, as our growing global audience - no, seriously - email in the burning questions they have that they want the chaps to answer. It gets a little bit racy, but doesn't overstep the mark.

Finally, it's the return of the beloved Bollocks or Not? It's 1-1 in the season so far, so tension is high and the questions are trivial.

So, sit back, pour yourself a drink and enjoy the window with a little bit of Only Slightly Drunk.

  • Season 3.4 - Flat and Hollow Earth and "I've made enough of w*nker of myself tonight already..."

It's the weekend, and that means it's time to sit back, have a drink and unwind with what the Podcast that Podcasts R Us recently called "The best Podcast ever. Fact." *

This week at OSD Towers, Robbo, Logan and Johnny, along with specially invited VIP audience member Jodie, made the mistake of taking an hours break during recording. During the break, Logan in particular hit the sherry far too hard, and the results were...interesting.

Johnny kicks things off with "Today Years Old", and even Robbo forgets his usual "I'm going to have to check this out myself" in favour of just being impressed.

Robbo gives us an update on Trumper's ongoing legal woes, and that's when we take a break.

When we come back, Logan is - let's say, slightly happy - and between giggles and inane jokes, leads a conversation about flat earth and hollow earth theories. What are they? When did they start? Why do people believe them?

We even finish on Robbo getting the Transformers movie so wrong that even hardened non-geek Johnny wants to slap him.

Raise a glass and join your chums for some drinks, chats and laughs. Enjoy!

  • Season 3.3 - Exorcisms and "I'm not actually THAT small, you know..."

    And here we go again!

Thanks to technical issues (Logan is a useless twat) what SHOULD be episode 4 is actually being published as episode 3. It will all make sense eventually. Probably. Maybe. Ok, it won't.

Scott Parkes joins us for the first (second) time this season to add his unique wit and perspective to the show.

We kick off with Johnny giving us some lifehacks as part of the "I was today years old when I learned" new section of the show.

Robbo talks a bit about the latest US political insanity.

And our main subject is exorcisms. What are they? What happens? Is possession real?

It's shot through with booze, laughter and the usual OSD feel of being down the pub with your chums having a blast.

Pour a drink for yourself, sit back, and see in the weekend with a lovely large shot of Only Slightly Drunk.
