1. Most of us aren't "cool" (and that's ok) 2. Cool is always changing (still waiting for Parachute pants to come back in) 3. Real is always better (it's true with butter and it's true with life)

Ready to have that dream job? There are two key steps to growing into your dream job. You have to start with the job you're wanting to get (or you're wanting to build). The main benefit is that it lets you know what people are looking for in the role you want to fill. It also gives you the language you need to speak fluently. The second step is to measure yourself up against this job description. The key to this is to start with your strengths, look for the places that come naturally to you. Then move onto the gaps, the places where you're not as strong. Fill in these gaps with as many resources as possible. You also need to fill these gaps with experience of some type. These two steps are key to growing into your dream job.

You are definitely your best asset but the reality is that none of us are complete. We each have unique personalities and giftings but none of us are great at everything. Regardless of whether we're self-employed or working within an existing company or organization we're guaranteed to be more successful if we build around who we are. There are three ways to build around who we are:

1. Build around your personality. We use the Meyers Briggs test to dive into who we are. Not only is the helpful to better understand what you do naturally it also helps to understand the roles that will drain you. It's great to have someone close to you fill in these gaps with their personality.

2. Build around your strengths. The Strength Finders Assessment is a great way to assess your top 5 strengths. If you're like me when you see your results you'll have an "a-ha" moment and some things that you thought were quirky turn out to be your greatest strengths. With 34 strengths out there it's vital to know your own and then bring in others to help build a complete skill set.

3. Build around your preferences. In addition to our personalities and strengths we also have preferences. We shouldn't discount these when it comes to building a team. For every task I prefer not to do there's someone who loves to do it. So I say, let them do it! It helps them fulfill their role and it leaves time on your plate for the things that come more naturally.

Hopefully after last week's episode you realized that your life is one of a kind....it's epic! But even when we decide to take the risk and live our unique life....gravity does it's best to keep us inline and as a result many of us coast. We usually coast along until life is disrupted and we're suddenly pushed into greatness.

The epic journey sounds sexy but the reality is that it costs us blood, sweat, tears and usually money....in other words....sacrifice. Here are six steps to make it through:

1. Wake up 2. Remember what you want 3. Define why you want it 4.Take is 30 minutes at a time 5. Celebrate progress 6. Go to sleep thinking about it.

If we want to live a life of purpose and meaning, it all starts with the ending. What we want at the end is a great way to discover what really matters to us. It's the first step to help us discover who we are and also anchors our life to a desired result.

To live for the ending we need to:

1.Realize we each have unique endings 2.Determine which categories matter to us 3.Come up with the desired ending/outcome/result 4.Document it for the future

Ashley Jones has turned tragedy into hope with her non-profit Love Not Lost. After suffering the loss of her child Ashley turned to photography to help start the next chapter of her life. She soon found herself being invited to take portraits of people with terminal illnesses. After facing such a devastating loss herself she realized the importance of preserving and capturing the memory of loved ones through photography. Out of this desire to help others she formed the non-profit Love not Lost. Her story is one of deep loss, grief and hope as she now uses her past to help others.
